We went almost at closing, but they still welcomed us with a smile. Our server was great and food was delicious. I usually don't write reviews but this was such a great experience. Recommend it 💯 👌

First time back since the winter as it was too cold in the restaurant to eat. We've been coming here since it first opened. However, for the past year or so the quality has been hit or miss. No seasoning, food not good and today the food was not hot. Just the plate was very hot but all the food was warm or less for both of our meals. We've complained enough and have had food re-heated. This time all the other times no manager came out to discuss the issues. For the prices nowadays it is not worth the gamble to return. :(

El Viejon is our go to Mexican restaurant. We have never had a bad experience. The food is always fantastic, the prices are reasonable, and the staff is consistently friendly and helpful.

My family and I were in Fredericksburg looking for a good meal as we rarely go out to eat. Chose El Viejon Mexican grill based on such good reviews. This place is incredible! Fantastic food and stellar service at a very reasonable price! We will be back next time we are in town or headed down 95.

The restaurant is clean, the bathrooms are clean, the service is very good, the waiters are friendly and attentive, the food is very delicious and I placed an order to take away and I definitely recommend that you visit this place, you will enjoy it.

An excellent place I went for the first time and the truth is they have an excellent service, very fast I did not wait long for my food and the meat was super delicious apart from the very friendly and attentive staff

10/10 I recommend! We both ordered steak & shrimp fajitas it came with rice, beans & salad, food came out within 10 minutes. Food was well seasoned! We also ordered a mixed drink & a margarita.

I recently dined at this restaurant and had an outstanding experience. The service was exceptional; our waiter was friendly and attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed. The food arrived promptly, within about 10 minutes, which was impressive. I ordered the fajitas, and they were fantastic—perfectly cooked with flavorful bell peppers that added a delightful crunch. The margaritas were also phenomenal, perfectly balanced and refreshing. Overall, it was a memorable dining experience, and I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for great food and excellent service.

i placed an order for chimichangas without lettuce and tomate and it came with lettuce and tomate. last week i ordered chicken chimichangas and they gave me beef chimichangas. food is great but im 2/2 on getting orders wrong

A cut a above usual Mexican food, the Fajita was very good. The chili relleno, which of Italy almost every place does slightly different, was a bit on the burnt end with cheese tasted good. The server, was very pleasant
