Last year Hunan Garden moved to this more spacious location. They have remodeled to create a pleasant, well organized and contemporary Chinese atmosphere. They even updated the restrooms. My wife and I just enjoyed a very pleasant and tasty lunch. The young lady who waited on us was very pleasant and answered our menus questions. We enjoyed two different Hunan dishes which were ample, warm and tasty. Dishes are prepared to order and very fresh. We look forward to becoming regular customers!

Been going there 25+ years. Formerly, the best Chinese food in Fredericksburg. WAS the best in Fredericksburg. Now under new (non-Asian) ownership. The food sucks. No alcohol served.
We used to enjoy this restaurant and especially the buffet. We sometimes ordered for delivery. I'm uncertain what has happened, but the buffet is gone. A recent delivery ensured we will not order from here again. The food is not the same. The chicken was fatty - the steak did not even look like steak on a stick. The egg rolls also seemed different. I'm not sure if they sold out - or changed chefs...but will not eat here again nor recommend.

Alright time to dump on a local business. My family and I have been going to Fortune Gourmet downtown on Caroline Street for something close to 20 years. Since Hunan Garden bought the place it is a disaster. They got rid of the buffet, changed recipes without telling anyone and listen to this. Tonight I placed an order. Specified I wanted it the same way as before "fortune style" and proceeded to roam around the art galleries while waiting for my food. Once my time was up I returned and the hostess proceeded to tell me a previous customer "stole" my food. Umm. What? Then between him and the manager they called the previous customer to BRING BACK the food. These shitbags were going to serve me food that for all I know someone had fingerbanged. So. I got my money back and here I am at China Delight.
