Fredericksburg Cupcake

Bought a dozen of cupcakes and the only thing that was good was the icing. Our cupcakes were dry and fell apart. Very disappointed!

Do not recommend Fredericksburg cupcake. The cupcakes were dry and made with whole grain flour. They had almost a sour like taste. Prices would be reasonable for a cupcake shop but not for the quality received. Staff was nice. Appeared to be minimal different between cupcakes except the toppings. Overall, would not recommend or return.

I have gone there 4xs chasing my first taste, to be disappointed.

The first time the vanilla icing I could clearly taste vanilla, cream cheese, and the most amazing hint of coffee at the end to break up the richness.
All three times since… the icing just taste like whipped cream with hint of vanilla. While still a great accompaniment to the fresh fruit… it’s not the recipe that made my taste buds dance.

Aside from that disappointment I enjoy clean ingredients are used, vs what all the other bakeries and donut shops in fred use. Their cookie dough is always a win, even when they sub/change out ingredients. This is a great place to buy clean ingredient baked goods.

I was deeply disappointed with the wedding cake provided by Fredericksburg Cupcakes. This was meant to be a highlight of our special day, but unfortunately, it fell far short of our expectations. Although the cake design was fine, the writing on the cake was disappointing, and the cake itself was dry and tasteless. It was underwhelming and I was unable to use it in any of my wedding photos.

What has made this experience even more frustrating is the complete lack of response to my complaint. I sent a detailed email almost a month ago and have received no follow-up whatsoever. For a bakery that prides itself on customer service, this is completely unacceptable. I expected a much higher standard of professionalism, especially for such an important event and especially after their team was so willing to help me with this order when I first placed it.

I would not recommend this bakery to anyone looking for a reliable, high-quality experience for their special day. It's disappointing that a company has failed to deliver both in product and in communication.

I tried two flavors, the red velvet was very good moist and the icing was delicious. The lemon was not good, both the cupcake and the icing had a weak lemon flavor.

Love this place. The vegan cupcake passed my vegan MIL very high bar. my favorite is the coconut cupcake. The cupcakes don’t feel hollow and they satisfy your sweet tooth nicely

I’ve always been a fan of this place, moved away a year ago and came in town for a visit and of course I had to stop here. Kinda regret it, the size of this cupcake is shocking! It’s sooooo small!! And it was extremely dry. I’m so disappointed because this place was always so good way better than Georgetown Cupcakes ever was. It’d be a hard thing to convince me to go back.. and I love cupcakes. Get it together y’all

Not trying to be mean, but these are worse than a box of Duncan Hines from the grocery store. I'd rather have spent the money on those and had nice big moist cupcakes than these dry tasteless little things. Also had the cookie dough and it was alright, but had a kind of weird sour taste to it.

Was very excited to try this place but their customer service was very disappointing. The lady in the register was very rude. It’s like it bothered her that we went in. When I told her what I wanted she told me to wait until the rest of the group I walked in order. We were two separate families and the cupcakes were going to two different households. I wanted for the the cupcakes to be separated since we were not going to eat them right away. It was a mess when we had to separate the cupcakes and they end up falling apart. When we would ask her about the the recommendations or flavored she seemed bothered and annoyed. Definitely not going back. I should have read the reviews before stepping in.

I am all about supporting local business, but from the minute we walked in to the place the atmosphere was odd. It was our first time there, and we were greeted with an unwelcome vibe. The lady that was helping us was RUDE, rude to the point that we were about to walk away. We ordered our cupcakes and left. They are not even good. I would definitely skip this place.

Cupcakes are my jam, and these don't disappoint. You definitely need to stop in when you're in Old Town Fredericksburg!

Guiness cupcake is divine!
