This is the single best place to eat in all of Fredericksburg. My wife and I moved to the area a year and a half ago but only discovered this place a few months ago. We wish we had discovered it earlier because it instantly became our favorite place in all Fredericksburg. The food is absolutely AMAZING. They have a wide range of traditional Indian food options, all well priced and large portions. My wife is a vegetarian so we were worried about limited options, but were surprised when we learned each dish can be made with Paneer! A wonderful Indian cheese that carrier so much flavor in each bite. The Paneer Korma became her favorite dish but the Paneer Masala was also amazing. Personally, I tried the: Korma, Masala, Butter Chicken, Vindaloo, and the Goan costal curry. All were AMAZING!But what truly sets this place apart from the rest is the Naan bread. Freshly made in house, generously portioned with each order, it is heavenly. The Bread Basket is our 100% recommendation as it comes with 3 pieces of regular, garlic, and stuffed naan! Our favorite combination by far is the garlic naan and butter chicken as the sauce is truly divine.I 100% recommend this place to anyone visiting or staying in Fredericksburg. You will leave fully satisfied with leftovers that are even better the next day.

We had an amazing meal at Guru today. We loved the Kashmiri naan, garlic chili naan and aloo gobi! Highly recommend! I have passed it for years and decided to give it a shot since it had an extensive list of vegetarian options.Vegetarian options: Very large selection and great food!!

My experience at Guru Indian Cuisine was exceptional. The bread basket, featuring three types of naan, was a delightful start to our meal. The garlic naan stole the show, although every variety was outstanding. The chicken tikka masala was a highlight; despite sharing one order, we found it generous and satisfying, with enough for seconds. Visiting during a weekday lunch, the atmosphere was serene and service prompt. Highly recommended for both the quality of food and tranquil dining experience.

First time trying indian cuisine and first time here -- EXCELLENT EXPERIENCE!! Raj was the best greater, server, and possibly cook. He helped us decide what to order as newbies and we loved it. Quiet lunch time experience. Great decor and furnishings. We will return!!

upon walking in there was no one in sight. Finally somebody came from the back said to see yourselves and then after saying for 15 minutes someone came and gave us menus and then left. Came back 10 minutes later got our order and then an hour and 15 minutes later we received our food, which was not satisfying at all. It looked good, but was, very poor the bathroom is in the back next to the kitchen hidden away. If you didn't ask about it, you would never knew that it was there. Service was very poor. I do not recommend at all.

Our problem with Guru was the air quality and handling. Everything was fine until they brought out food for a large party close to us. We've been to lots of Indian restaurants, but whatever vapors emanated from those meals burned our eyes and we couldn't stop coughing. Same impact at other tables as well. Their HVAC had no impact. We had to take the food to go. Once home, the food was good, but takeout is never the same as eating right out of the kitchen.

Had a mix up with my food and the owner came out and made things right by remaking my order. Great service.
