Based on the reviews, N.Y. Kabob House is a family owned restaurant serving amazing Afghan food. It is a huge place that can accommodate big parties, making it good for a family celebration or reunion, and is next to the Quality Inn and Dunkin Donuts. The food is fantastic and a hidden gem. Dishes like the chicken over rice, chicken karahi, lamb gyro platter, and chicken and lamb kabob plate are all delicious. The lamb and chicken are tender. The vegetarian combo platter with chickpeas, spinach, eggplant, and rice is also delicious and seasoned perfectly. The Hummus Dip and Vegetarian Combo were a fine experience. The owner is extremely nice, and the staff is friendly. The interior has a great vibe. Many reviews note the food was so good they went back, and travelers would not hesitate to stop in again. Do not pass this place up because of one star reviews from many years ago.
