The waitstaff was untrained. The food was brought out in ridiculous intervals for the 5 mains we ordered. I finally had to speak to a manager to receive the 5th entree, which was supposedly delivered to the wrong table, the fried rice was finally delivered after multiple suggestions towards the end of the meal. Another table left after seeing our issues said "good luck" to us. The manager was rude to me when I brought up the lack of food and service and left us with a feeling we didn't matter. Upon leaving because our ticket, per the manager was $100 gave us a $10 coupon for next time.

First and last visit to Peter Changs. I'm a firm believer in giving restaurants a second chance, but in this case it's not happening. This was quite possibly the most disgusting lunch I've eaten in a very long time.I ordered their shredded pork with smoked tofu lunch special to go. I was in the area for work, and I've been wanting to try it. The dish sounded different and I was intrigued. For the sides I got fried rice and my favorite, egg drop soup. I also got a scallion bubble pancake appetizer. What I received was thin sliced, oily (SO OILY), very undercooked pork with slices of smoked tofu, red pepper, and the occasional chunk of scallion. Fried rice was white and barely fried with barely any flavor. The egg drop soup was okay, but nothing exciting or any different from a random take out place. The pancakes were served in a brown paper bag, cold, greasy and bland. This meal cost $26, including tip.Never again.

The food was incredible, but The waiters need training. The seats were uncomfortable and we were falling into them. I assume we were sat at the worst booth that they had. We had a female waitress that was rushing us to order and acted like she hated her job. Everytime I asked for extra napkins, she would just take one off the table next to ours. Just ONE each time. I had sticky sauce all over my hands and clothes and table and it overshadowed my first meal at Peter Chang but it was a delicious meal. She acted like she didn’t want to be there the whole time. Please train the staff better!

Horrible experience! Got a to go order and food wasn't all there when we got home. Called to discuss and this god awful unprofessional women answered and started screaming at me, as if I made the mistake! I've never been treated like this by a business owner! Needless to say, we will never return!

The food here is amazing. Everything you can order off the menu is good. Always get the fried rice, and the sesame chicken is to die for.

It has been a while since coming here, as I recall, the last visit wasn’t too great. In between, about a year ago I tried the Charlottesville location and it was the worse I’ve tried yet. So, for the past few years when seeking authentic Szechuan food, I’ve been driving up to Szechuan Taste in Dale City (which is amazing, BTW!) or up to Arlington, Fairfax, etc. Some of the best I’ve ever had came from Szechuan Taste in Dale City, Chengdu Gourmet in Pittsburgh, and the best yet has been from Sichuan House in San Antonio (yeah, I ate Szechuan instead of tacos when in the Taco Capital!)!!Recently I was in the area of Central Park and was yearning for authentic Szechuan, so I decided to give this location another try… I got Christine as a server and she was great! She not only knew the menu, she understood the authenticity of Szechuan food versus the typical American Chinese food (General Tso’s, sweet & sour fried stuff, etc). I simply asked for cumin chicken and was given an AMAZING dish loaded with flavor… all the flavors I yearn for when desiring this style of food. Prices are great here too, as I ordered the diner portion, not the lunch portion and it was only like $16 for a large amount of food.I’ll definitely return and ask for Christine next time too, to ensure I’m getting my food made right! Definitely would recommend to those who know and seek authentic Szechuan to hear what you think of it.

Our favorite Chinese spot in Fredericksburg with amazing selection and real Sichuan preparations. Be adventurous and try something new here you will not be sad. The chicken with numbing spice is amazing as is the dry fried eggplant appetizer. We absolutely love the service - super friendly and it feels like Cheers - they know us and remember. Lunch specials are a good value but also try some of the fun stuff of the house special menu.

Food was a ok, but the restaurant was run down and had visible mouse traps in the dining room. Sadly, we won’t return.
