Okay Darlings!

A true taste of home-cooked Jamaican food right in the heart of Fredericksburg! Pimenta is an absolute gem. Our group was blown away by the warm and friendly staff who made us feel right at home from the moment we walked in.

The food was incredible across the board. We couldn't get enough of the jerk shrimp, which was delicious and perfectly seasoned. Our table also raved about the oxtail, curry goat, curry chicken, and the fish—every single dish was a solid 10.

It's clear the chefs here put so much love into their cooking. The restaurant itself is located on a lovely town street with convenient street parking, and it's a great bonus that it's connected to a private event space.

Unfortunately when we went, they were out of a lot of options. Our chicken was a bit overcooked and the flavor wasn't the best, but not bad per say. But wasn't worth the asking price. Service was also slightly lacking in that the wait staff were not very attentive.

Omg…the food at Pimenta Caribbean Restaurant is absolutely delicious! Now that it's under new ownership, the flavors have truly been elevated to a whole new level.

I started with the soup—it was heaven in a bowl. Hands down, one of the best soups I’ve ever had. Then came the jerk shrimp, and let me tell you, the jerk sauce was out of this world! I was literally licking my fingers, it was that good.

And the fish? Lord have mercy! Perfectly seasoned, tender, and packed with flavor—I couldn’t stop eating.

Overall, the new ownership has taken Pimenta to another level. If you haven’t been lately, you need to check it out. The food is flavorful, fresh, and unforgettable. You won’t be disappointed.

Trust me, I give Pimenta Caribbean Restaurant a solid 5/5. Treat yourself—you’ll thank me later!

I ordered the curried goat, rice and peas, and fried plantains. The meal was very well prepared and was delicious. Very authentic indeed. However, I think the price for that specific meal was a bit pricey, especially when compared to other establishments that I have visited. The price was also too high for the amount of food given. Additionally, I got way too much gravy/oil. The gentleman that attended to me was courteous and friendly. He had a welcoming disposition.

Some of the best food in town. It takes a bit, so don't go in unless you're okay with hanging out for awhile, but the food is worth the wait. They recently changed ownership, but the food at our last visit was just as good as it's always been.

Wow. Truly the Best Jamaican Food I’ve Ever Had it is Authentic and Full of Flavor!

As a Jamaican, I’m always a bit skeptical when trying Caribbean restaurants, but Pimenta blew me away. This is, without a doubt, the best Jamaican food I’ve eaten, even compared to some places back home.

I had the brown stew fish with rice and peas, mac and cheese, and stir-fried cabbage, and every bite was perfection. The fish was tender, flavorful, and cooked just right; the gravy alone was enough to make me want to lick the plate. The rice and peas had that perfect balance of seasoning and coconut flavor, the mac and cheese was creamy and comforting, and the cabbage was fresh with a nice little crunch.

From the moment you walk in, the aroma takes you straight to Jamaica. The food tastes like it was made with love and tradition. The staff were warm and welcoming, and the atmosphere had that laid-back island vibe with good music playing in the background.

If you’re craving authentic Jamaican food, Pimenta is where you need to be. This spot is a gem, and I can’t recommend it enough. 🇯🇲❤️
