Visiting from Florida, the jerk shrimp and curry goat and rice was horrible. Do better guys. Level up! That's not quality food.

The only jerk in this restaurant is the owner, it is clear that the employees are not paid enough to have a care about the product.

As a professional chef with 10 years of experience in the industry, I know the difference between a bad night and a restaurant that simply doesn’t care. Unfortunately, Pimenta falls into the latter category.

From the moment I walked in, the service was disorganized and inattentive. It took nearly 20 minutes just to get a menu, and when the food finally arrived, it was a complete disaster. Overcooked proteins, underseasoned sauces, and a presentation that looked like it was thrown together in a rush. The worst part? When I politely mentioned the issues, the staff seemed indifferent, offering no apology or attempt to fix the meal.

For a place that presents itself as a quality dining experience, Pimenta fails on every level. If you care about good food and decent service, do yourself a favor and eat elsewhere.

Closed even though website said open. I tried to go there another time called to see if they were open for lunch the next day they said yes but were not open. No sign on the door. Not answering phone.

I was disappointed with the service and the food. They seemed a bit overwhelmed at the time I ordered food. So I'm not sure if I try this place again.

I’m not sure what has happened to Pimenta. I discovered this place back in June of 2020, in that same month I probably visited them 3 more times, and that was a lot considering it was an hour drive 1 way to get there. And over the years I’ve convinced many family members to go there and try their food. This Sunday was surely my last visit ever though. The rice and peas was literally baby food, insanely mushy, and food lacked the flavor it normally packs. The cocktail menu was essentially useless, because I had ordered a mule and the server asked me if I wanted something else “because the chef can’t make that because he’s not a bartender” so I opted for a premade cocktail instead. The Pimenta I was used to took pride in their dishes and it showed with the place packed on weekends, in the hour we were there we were literally the only people who even thought to touch their door. I’m not sure what happened to this place but hopefully they get it together very soon

Let me start with the positive the restaurant was cute and clean. Staff was very friendly. We went there for lunch and was looking forward to it due to the 4.4 rating. They were sold out of many items for just being a little after 130 pm as I suspect they had not prepared food for the day. We ordered 2 dark jerk chicken with 2 sides. However, they only brought out 1 dark order. They reported being our of dark, but offered to bring me something else if I wanted it. The chicken tasted like rotisserie chicken with sweet bbq instead of jerk. I suspect we got leftovers from the day before as we were told they were in the process of making more chicken. The rice and peas and macaroni and cheese was tasty. The chonch fritters were to come with three, but they said we could have the two they had left and a spring roll, which was good.

Found this gem of a place tonight. I have never had Jamaican food before but I always wanted to try. I had a taste of the ox tail and it was delicious. I ordered the jerk chicken with Mac and cheese with rice and peas. Topped off with a pineapple mimosa. Atmosphere was very pleasant, the food reminds me of a home cooked meal. Highly recommend!

Food was horrible. Chickpeas had no flavor at all. Salad was same as Wawa. Egg rolls nothing special. Mac n cheese was soupy. 6pm on a Friday and didn’t have quite a few things on menu. Spent $40 and now have to find somewhere else to eat SMH.
