She worked there for 7 years so I know she has been through plenty of customers with indecisiveness. I told her I will be back at least 2 times a month. I want to try everything! First time having authentic Jamaican food and I'm glad it was here. The people were sooo nice. The restaurant was very small (can seat about 10 people inside), and very clean. I ate outside at the picnic tables facing the parking lot.
I got the combination plate with oxtail, jerk chicken, rice & peas, plantains, coco bread, & rum cake. [Just over $50.] The oxtail almost fell off the bone - it was so juicy and flavorful. The jerk chicken was crispy on the outside amd juicy on the inside. All of the sides went well with the meat. The flavor was bomb diggity and seasoned perfectly. The rum cake was dense with rum. I don't drink alcohol and not an expert on rum cake at all, so take my opinions with a grain of salt. I think it was good for rum cake, but I just wasn't a fan of how much rum was in it. Again, personal preference. If you love rum cake or rum, I'm sure you would love this.

First time here, & I wanted the Escovitch but unfortunately they didn’t have any. I got the spicy jerk chicken with rice & peas & cabbage. Honestly, I was surprised at how good the food & customer service was. I definitely will be back. The spicy jerk chicken was definitely spicy too, the flavor was 10/10. The cabbage had a really good flavor & was not over cooked & I could honestly eat the rice & peas by itself. Definitely was not expecting the food to be so flavorful.

We ordered food to go here earlier today. It was so good we definitely will be going back. We visit Jamaica a few times a year. We love the food there. So it’s nice to be able to get it here in the US. I had the jerk chicken and my husband had the red snapper. The price was good and so was the portion size.

We stopped in cause of a referral from a friend. Glad we did. It was amazing. I had Rasta Pasta with jerk chicken. And a beef patty. Hands down Delicious. The service was amazing. Cassie was very polite and helpful. I highly recommend a visit especially if you're looking for fresh and delicious food. And its in Fredericksburg. We will definitely be back. 😁👍🏼👍🏼
Taste of Trelawny never disappoints. I love coming after church on a Sunday afternoon for dinner to grab food for my family. Being my family is from the island every time I take a bite it reminds me of Sunday dinner when I was home in NYC and my grandma made dinner after church. I would highly recommend the curry chicken and especially the curry Goat 🐐 because its delicious 😋

Either they were low on staff or something else because I was served a $35 plate of mediocrity. I ordered the Jerk Chicken / Ox tail combo plate with a side of rice and sweet potato.
The chicken was tough and dry even though it was resting in the jerk sauce. The ox tail was tender and melted off my tongue, which was beautiful. A shame both the chicken and ox tail was bland. Somehow the rice had more flavor than the meat. Sweet potato was ok. The only thing I can taste from the jerk sauce was heat and nothing else. No sweetness, no saltiness, and especially no umami.
It's embarrassing that Publix had better jerk chicken than this Jamaican restaurant. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt if I was to arrive sooner and had fresher food. The quality of food I was served is trash.

I ordered my food for pickup so I have not physically been to the restaurant. I having sick for a few days and I've really been craving a taste of home. I was looking around for a Caribbean restaurant and they popped up. I tried to order online but they're online ordering is not set up yet as they have recently changed their name. So I called and spoke to Cassie she immediately understood that American food was just not going to cut it and told me that they were the best in town. I ordered their top two dishes oxtail and jerk chicken. They both came with peas and rice and plantain and I ordered the cabbage on the side. I was not disappointed the oxtail was juicy falling off the bone while season. The peace and rice taste like what my grandma used to make. I felt like I was home I might called felt better. I will definitely be visiting this place again if you understand Caribbean people good food that is made well can soothe your mind heart and soul this place did it for me. Sorry I couldn't post a pic of my daughter's food cuz she got the jerk chicken she ate it all before I could get a chance.
