Just had lunch with friends Kathleen and Terry Powers. I have to admit, I tried spargel for the first time in my life. (It is white asparagus. I didn't know it, either...) It was delicious!! It was cooked so it still had some crunch to it!! (I hate any kind of mooshy vegetables.) I had an alpine schnitzel hoagie, which was divine, and potato pancakes (also amazing!!) One of the best, if not the best German restaurant in the DMV.
Large menu. Often have a seasonal menu as well. Prices are a good deal, considering the high quality of the food and large portions.
Excellent selection of German beers.
Great weekly specials.
Happy hour every day, 3pm-7pm

Friendly service, nice atmosphere, food was good, no complaints, but also nothing I tasted was phenomenal. I have lived in Germany and like German food...I would probably go back for that reason. My wife got Chicken Cordon Bleu...it was a breaded chicken breast with what looked like ham lunch meat on top of it and some cheese melted on top of that. Tasted ok, but I could have made the same thing just as well at home and had it in the oven in 10 mins. Same kind of comments...
