Today, my family was in the area several hours from home to pick something up. Thought about finding a BBQ place for a quick lunch before our 2+ hour drive home. Wild Waylon's did not disappoint. Pitmaster David and his family, (Waylon is his son) were gracious and friendly. David is truly happy to be doing this and it clearly shows in the product. We had portions of the pulled pork, brisket and pork belly for meats, complemented perfectly by the baked beans, pimento mac and cheese, Cole slaw, and smoked deviled eggs as sides. All of the items were delicious. The meats were all tender and unctuous as all good BBQ should be. The sauces were widely varied and all made in house. Among the sauces,, there seems to be something for everyone, but for me the Alabama White, Honey BBQ and Sweet Heat fit the bill nicely. As for sides, the cole slaw was crisp and fresh, lightly dressed and not overly sweet. The beans had a wonderfully rich flavor with a little kick of spice and the smoked deviled eggs had just the right amount of smoke without getting bitter or funky. If we are ever traveling back through the area, we will be certain to come back.Well done to you all for nailing good BBQ and a great experience. Thank you for that experience!

Delicious food and even better service. Our pulled pork sandwiches were some of the best we’ve ever had. We were also particularly impressed with the green beans and baked beans. The staff were attentive, friendly and incredibly kind. We’ll be back for sure!

Stopped in this place on Thursday to buy my office staff lunch and was greeted as if I was a long time customer. The owner treated us like family and went out of his way to make sure we got what we wanted and than some. I thought to myself I hope the food is as good as the customer service? It sure was! Do not miss out on eating here! Thanks for the great food and hospitality.

I Have gotten lunch at Wild Waylon’s at least 4 times over the past couple weeks. The environment is always great and the food is absolutely incredible. The portions are generous and I always leave with a full belly. Best BBQ in town!

My daughter and I came in last night and were immediately greeted by 3 super friendly staff members. The guys in the aprons asked me what I’d like to order. The woman behind the register started a sweet conversation with my daughter. She lit up from the attention. Thank you for that! As for the food, everything was delicious! Sloppy joes were massive and juicy. Pulled pork was stacked high and the fam’s favorite. No one touched my brisket because I ate it so quickly. Anyone considering the pimento Mac, get it! It’s rich and creamy and not spicy at all. We’ll be back for sure! Sorry I don’t have photos… everything disappeared too quickly.Parking: Tons of spots right out frontKid-friendliness: They have a toy smoker for kids to play with while you wait. Staff was super friendly

Really nice owner and his son running the place. Went over and above with service, helped us select some alternatives for our picky kids. Prices are similar to other chain BBQ places in the area, but Waylon's gives you more MEAT!Mac and Cheese is great, not too salty and rich with perfectly cooked shells.Brisket is hearty and has some texture left, not total mush.Pork BBQ is juicy and flavorful. The Baked Beans are basically a meal by themselves, full of texture with spices, meat, and a little heat to boot!Coleslaw is finely shredded and is a nice palette cleanser, not a soup, which is good! The pickles are soooo good, limey, spicy and the dill, very good. The sauces are pretty diverse, don't miss the Alabama Sauce!

From entry to exit, the atmosphere was welcoming and positive. If you had a question about the menu. It was explained thoroughly and it was informative. Now to the food, I got the brisket, pork belly, and smoked turkey. It was delicious. With a combination of variety of sauces to help complement them. Prices in my opinion were reasonable. I’ve always seen the BBQ market in the higher price range. Overall, great experience, great food and will return!

I really wanted to love this place after reading so many great reviews. The staff was very friendly and greeted me as i walked in. Everything looked very clean. Website and "Menu Board" need some work.. Menu Board only gives a price and nothing else, no descriptions or info about combos, or heat levels on sides. If you have a problem with "heat" do not order the potato salad. My mouth was on fire after one small taste. The potatoes were inconsistent in size and regardless of the size, even the smallest pieces were undercooked. I got a brisket sandwich and a pulled pork sandwich. Since the menu board didn't explain that sandwiches come with a small side, I ordered a medium sides of the potato salad and the cole slaw. I was only charged for small sides since the sandwiches apparently come with a small side. I appreciate the reduced charge. That being said, 4 items cost me around $44(lunch for 2 people without any drinks). This included a 3.5% additional charge for using a debit card. I understand that bbq is expensive so i guess that isn't too bad. The cashier pointed me to the sauce area and gave me a tip on how to get the lids fit the carryout containers for the sauces. The sauces were labeled, and made in house, but all were too hot for me. Would have liked a mild option. Website is not very user friendly and "Menu board" could be more informative. Summary, great staff but, if you can't handle heat, skip most of the sides and eat the sandwich without sauce. I will probably go back just to get the meat by the pound and skip everything else.

I was excited to visit this place, need good places to eat in South Stafford that's not McDonald's. It was pricey but since the pandemic every thing is pricey. All al-la-cart. No comb meals. I got a brisket sandwich with coleslaw & side of baked beans. The brisket was dry, thank goodness for the sauce. Didn't care for the coleslaw. Didn't care for the baked beans, had a lot of meat in them. Customer service was okay. The one guy behind the counter was friendly, answered all my questions, the lady taking my ? was not personable, no eye contact, no greeting etc. Might give them some time to get more established before going back if at all. Probably stick with Missison BBQ. Truly disappointed bcuz we need more nice sit down places to eat this side of the river.

Car looking for something to eat for lunch and came across this place. Took a look at the menu and figured I’d give it a try everything I had was delicious well-made, and great portions. None of the meat was dry. It was all full of flavor. They have several sauces to choose from. They can even give you recommendations for which sauces go with which meats mac & cheese, creaminess, and the pasta for it was cooked well
