My family and I have tasted several pies and cakes from A la Mode Pies over the last few years, and they are consistently FANTASTIC! The customer service is also outstanding, especially if you are in a time crunch. Most recently, we ordered a German chocolate cake on New Year's Eve with 2 hours' notice because I forgot to place the order. I think they should just call this place A la mode Pies, because I stopped here with my daughter for ice cream, and they only had four flavors, and chocolate wasn't one off them. All of the other reviews raved about the pies, which did look amazing, but none of them mentioned the ice cream or lack thereof, so I thought at least one review should. If you're looking for ice cream in the Gainesville/Haymarket area, this may not be the place for you.
