I stopped in for breakfast and had the waffles and an omelet, and both were excellent. The waffles were light and fluffy with just the right amount of crispness, while the omelet was fresh, filling, and cooked perfectly. The portions were generous, and everything tasted homemade.

Been here two weeks in a row for Sunday brunch. Food is solid but does not always seem to correlate with pricing and menu descriptions. The first week I ordered the country fried steak for $20 and was surprised by the small size of the steak compared to the price and size I've received at many other restaurants. The second week I tried the Kunafa pancakes. In no way did the menu describe essentially a giant flat circular mozzarella stick between two pancakes. And the pancakes...

well-rounded, very interesting eclectic menu, excellent food, 5-star service in a comfortable setting. Don't pass up a chance to dine in Gainesville Diner. There were 8 of us in 2 booths and everyone was delighted!
