Used to live in Gainesville back in 2020 and this was our favorite restaurant. We hadn’t been in five years. Was worried that Covid impacted them, but pleased they were still in business. After eating their food and dining in their establishment, we realize they have not missed a beat. Their food is sensational. We have been craving their mango chicken forfive years and they did not fail. Lastly, our five-year-old daughter, the picky eater in the family, thoroughly enjoyed the meal as well. This little girl is hard to satisfy. She was apprehensive about trying the mango chicken, but the moment the first piece landed in her mouth, she kept asking for more. Don’t let me get started on the naan bread, she loved it! Devoured several slices.Her parting words were “That restaurant is so good. My stomach is so happy.”

Taste of India's (ToI) is tucked away in a plaza, but trust me when I say that it is a hidden gem. This is literally the best Indian food I have ever had. ToI's Pistachio Korma, Navratan Korma, Saag Paneer, Samosas, and Aloo Paratha were leagues better, in my humble opinion, than anywhere I've tasted in the DC-MD-VA area. They are generous with their portion sizes and the food is so flavorful. I am a huge fan of spicy food and they delivered. The prices are fair. They even added papadum crackers with no charge for takeout orders. If you are an Indian food enthusiast, I strongly encourage you to try them.

We came as a group for the buffet and had a fantastic time. The food was absolutely delicious—Chicken 65 was a favorite. The Butter Chicken was rich and creamy, and the Veg Biryani was perfectly spiced. Honestly, everything we tried was great, and the spice level was just right.
We all left full and happy. Definitely coming back!
