The food and service have finally returned to how spectacular it was when Macado's first came to Galax 20+ years ago. Excellent food and efficient fast service from polite employees who are truly grateful to help you there now. When you get a sandwich, entree, dessert or drink there now, it's actually worth it now and will have you wanting to try more. I know things had declined not so long ago there, but the New management and employees have really made the difference...
The food is excellent and it has a fun interior. I've eaten here many times, which is testiment to the food quality because it's hard to put up with the service. They either don't have a system, or don't have a good system to ensure every table has service. There have been many times in which we've been left waiting to order for long stents of time, despite the restaurant being mostly empty. Once you order, it's almost always an extremely long wait...
This place has made a 100% turnaround from what it was. I've never seen it this busy here in the years I have been coming. The food comes out hot now and really fast too. Not the one hour wait and cold food that it was not too long ago.
The servers are nice and attentive. The food comes out pretty quick and it's hot.
