I moved from Houston TX a couple of months ago. I want to be clear here. Virginia is BETTER than texas in every measurable way, except Mexican food. That's it. We thought the days of great texmex were over for us. And then, like a beacon in the night, Chuy's showed up out of nowhere. This place is an institution in TX. Strange smell in restaurant upon arriving which threw me off...but I decided to give it a chance.

I ordered a steak burrito thinking It would be a burrito I could pick up...it was more of and enchilada in a big tortilla..covered in some sauce.

I have to say I was disappointed , it wasn't terrible but it wasn't great...mediocre would be the word. Very disappointed. Server was nice.

We recently visited Chuy’s Tex-Mex, and while the food was enjoyable, the overall experience was mixed. The restaurant was extremely hot and seating was cramped from the moment we walked in. When we asked to move to a more comfortable spot, we were seated near the bathrooms and kitchen, which wasn’t much of an improvement.

The booths were especially tight—you can’t lean back without bumping into the person behind you, which made it hard to relax and...
