Very pleasurable, intimite setting with wonderful food; full of flavor and did not disappoint at all. I wish I had been able to stay longer and try one of their delicously sounding deserts, but tickets for the theater were in hand. I would highly recommend. Even on a Satruday night, it wasn't overly busy, and there was a single person around that did not look happy with their choice.
There were 3 of us in my party. The mahi BLT was just okay; the fish was very dry from overcooking. The raspberry chicken salads ordered by the other 2 of us were very good. The service, especially the delivery of the food, was extremely slow. I think that it may have been more of a kitchen issue than a server issue. The back room where we were had only 4 or 5 occupied tables, but there was a fairly large party in another room, which may have been the source of the problem.
This was our first visit to Hondos and it exceeded expectations on every level. We went for lunch and the ambiance and quality of service was outstanding! Delmar is a professional server who made our visit special. His advice on wine and menu items was spot on and we were delighted with our meal. We can't recommend Hondos highly enough and we look forward to our next visit!
