There were 3 of us in my party. The mahi BLT was just okay; the fish was very dry from overcooking. The raspberry chicken salads ordered by the other 2 of us were very good. The service, especially the delivery of the food, was extremely slow. I think that it may have been more of a kitchen issue than a server issue. The back room where we were had only 4 or 5 occupied tables, but there was a fairly large party in another room, which may have been the source of the problem.
This was our first visit to Hondos and it exceeded expectations on every level. We went for lunch and the ambiance and quality of service was outstanding! Delmar is a professional server who made our visit special. His advice on wine and menu items was spot on and we were delighted with our meal. We can't recommend Hondos highly enough and we look forward to our next visit!
We were visiting Richmond and staying in a nearby hotel. We sat at the bar and ordered our dinner. The bartender was friendly and gave us some suggestions. We had the filet flight and charcuterie board. Both were amazing!
