We finally got around to trying Joey’s Hot Dogs even after being in Richmond for more years than I can count. Coming from a picky eater this is a must try and a hidden gem. Service was quick and everyone was friendly. I ordered mine all the way! You can’t eat just one for sure.

Food was unbelievably good. Joey dog all the way with the snap is great. The pasta salad was phenomenal and the macaroni salad was really good also. And honestly you can’t be the price, and all with great service. Don’t sleep on this place if you need a quick lunch.

They have been in business since 1939 and have a good grilled beef hot dog that is better than anything in a supermarket. They have a variety of different hot dog offerings, but I was very surprised and disappointed that they did not have a Chicago style hot dog. They did, however, have a very good chili dog. It is a very nice restaurant with ample parking, and it is very clean. There are a number of tables and it is handicap friendly.
