Well worth the visit. I can understand why Mama Cucina is consider one best Italian restaurants in Richmond. Would recommend to any one that lives Italian food. Service was great and drinks were to die for. Atmosphere was nice and easy a little noisy but the restaurant is small so you should except some noise. However the ambience was great. I was a little disappointed in the Carbonara. It was a little bland to me. It was like something was missing. Easily a difference in this place vs another place. The real off putting disappointment with the house salad. Half way through it and I find moldy tomatoes. Heck, the Carbonara might have been great and I was to distracted by the salad. I don't know for sure. I dont think I'll go back though. The moldy tomatoes killed it for me.

Good diner all things considered, but I was not fond of the food for my first time there, unfortunately. Considering the high ratings however, I may consider trying this place again with a different meal.
