I was looking forward to trying this restaurant after reading the reviews. Ordered take out spaghetti ala Perla. Dish described included crab, shrimp and crab. Disappointed there was no crab in the dish at all. Dish was “ok”.
I was a faithful regular at the old restaurant that Perla replaced because the food and service was wonderful. Perla DID NOT disappoint. I may even go as far as saying the food is better!! More flavor, diversity and substance. I had the vodka pasta with shrimp and crab..talk about delicious! The sauce was creamy, well seasoned and just right, the shrimp were cooked perfectly. Only complaint is that my pasta could have been a bit more al dente.
My family and I went in for dinner tonight and we had a wonderful meal!! We are from NJ and have very high expectations for Italian food, and this restaurant did not disappoint at all!! Our kids had the cheese ravioli and spaghetti with marinara sauce and two meatballs. My husband and I had the lobster bisque that was absolutely delicious!
