Ray’s Italian Ice & Frozen Custard

Ray's Italian Ice has to be my favorite ice cream spot ever, and nothing else can compare!

Our every alternate day goto place for sweet tooth. We tried frozen custard, water ice, chocolate oreo shake, brownie shake and all taste just awesome. No comparison to the taste and quality. We just love everything we eat there. Price wise quantity is good. MUST TRY ☺👍

Just great all around, and usually less crowded than their other location.

Rude old guy at the register. If you hate your business shut it down. Don't take it out on paying customers.

I’ve been a loyal fan of Ray’s for as long as I can remember! It’s the ultimate go-to for ice cream in Richmond, in my opinion, and my nieces and nephew have been coming here with me since they were babies. I'm stuck on their chocolate custard with chocolate sprinkles, but if I'm feeling adventurous, their blueberry water ice is my backup.lol. Such a classic spot!

The only drawback is the lack of sugar free soft ice cream as diabetic customers are not able to enjoy what they offer. To me, it’s a shame they have nothing. In Florida, the champ is Brendy’s which offers many sugar free and low carb soft ice cream. There’s no reason Ray’s can’t offer the same thing.

Perfect frozen custard and Italian ice with tons of options and friendly service. Highly recommend the rocket with vanilla custard and watermelon ice or a classic chocolate/vanilla twist cone. Walk-up service only but close to a tiny cute park where you can sit and enjoy your treats.

Wow! Absolutely incredible frozen custard. It was so creamy and light but also heavy at the same time. Not too sweet. Cookie butter flavor was very rich, buttery and slightly salty. Broke my sugar fast for this and it was absolutely worth it!

This place was amazing. Highly suggest going here for a family treat. Last night of our trip and we loved it. Highly recommend to all friends and family. Absolutely 5 stars.

This is some of the best custard in East Virginia. Better than anything I can find in Hampton Roads. Anytime I take a trip out to Richmond, I always stop by to grab a cone.

This place isn't closed! Its only take away. So you walk up to order and then you get the creamiest frozen custard, softest italian ice and really friendly customer service.

Its quick and easy and delicious.

Burrito asks, could I love a place more? Probably not. Flipping awesome on a hot day! Dumpling says good quality deliciousness that is consistently good all the time 😍😍😍. We have long loved Ray’s as a local fav. This summer’s gem is the cotton candy ice. We like it layered with custard. Midnight craving is also a must. IYKYK.
