Elk Island Winery Reviews
My daughter and son in law tried this brand at festival and liked it so much they visited it and bought more...I even tried quite a few they have...absolutely delicious 😋
Nice little winery with the tasting room in a house. Comfortable surrounding, very friendly and welcoming staff. Wines are good with a broad variety of reds and whites. Worth the visit.
My girlfriend and I had Elk Island wine for the first time at the Hanover Strawberry and Wine Fest. I rarely buy bottles at these events, but this wine is some of the best wine I’ve ever had, so I had to buy multiple. Crista and crew are also very accommodating and friendly. Although we live in Fredericksburg, we will definitely be going to the winery in person soon!

Elk Island Winery is a charming and serene winery nestled in the woods. The tasting room has a cozy, homely feel, with a screened-in porch and open deck for enjoying the wines. The winery offers a great selection of reds and whites, and visitors can indulge in a cheese plate or try the wine and chocolate pairing, which is spot on. The oaked Chardonnay paired with vanilla cream is a standout. Daniel and Crista are wonderful hosts, known for their warm and friendly demeanor. The winery is housed in a partially converted house, giving it a unique and intimate atmosphere. The tasting room is small and unassuming, but inside guests will find friendly people and fantastic wines, including Norton, Chambourcin, Merlot, and Petit Verdot. While the setting might not be as grand as some other wineries, the quality of the wines and the welcoming staff make it worth a visit. Elk Island is a lovely place to enjoy a picnic and a glass of wine on a weekend, no matter the temperature. Overall, it provides a delightful and cozy winery experience with great wines and friendly service.
