“We love to dine under La Grande Tente with a beautiful meadow and gardens as a backdrop. The tomato salad (from the garden) is wonderful. The mushroom crepe and golden beet appetizers are both excellent. Then comes the big challenge: how to pick just one of the superb entrees. The twin tenderloins are always excellent. The trout almandine, which I chose this time, is full of different flavors: the sauce, the marinated mushrooms, a chile pepper, and tender fish fillets that are almost completely boneless. We have been going to L'Auberge for our anniversary for the last 30 years and have had only excellent food; we never had a bad experience.“

“Delicious food - husband really enjoyed the Halibut with pesto pasta, which he said was outstanding (perhaps made with ingredients from their garden). My basic salad was likewise very fresh and delicious. We definitely made short order of the garlic bread and breads with butter and the cottage cheese with herbs (chives? Dill?). He thought the margarita was delicious and I enjoyed the Chateauneuf-du-Pape. And what can I say - not sure I looked once when polishing off the Grand Marnier soufflé. The nice change in weather meant sitting on the patio was also delightful. The setting is lovely and makes for pleasant dining experience. There were families celebrating special occasions, dinner dates like ours, and gatherings of friends - Jacques' Brasserie is definitely a restaurant to enjoy and return to, as we do, many times.“
