Gyro sandwich was very good, service was wonderful, and the space is quiet and nice.
Great experience at BBQ Amal. My girlfriend got the lamb gyro and beef shawarma, and both were really good. The meat was flavorful and cooked well, the portions were solid, and everything tasted fresh. The service was friendly and the atmosphere was great too. Definitely a spot I’d come back to and recommend to anyone looking for good food.
Very nice neighborhood eatery specializing in Mediterranean dishes, I had the chicken shawarma and falafel appetizer and the taste was fresh and authentic from my years in the Middle East. The nice lady cooking said Amal is her mother and the food tastes like family recipes. I had the baklava for a treat and it wasn’t too sweet and flakey full of pistachios. Love to try the kebab next time!

Based on the reviews, BBQ Amal is a wonderful place offering authentic Egyptian food. The restaurant has a designated menu, but customers can request true authentic Egyptian dishes. Meals mentioned include Koshari, hummus with bread, gyro, Molokheya, shish tawook (chicken kebab), chicken tikka (half chicken in spices and roasted), grape leaves, Egypt kabab, swarma, Egyptian matchi (dolma), and bechemal. The food comes with good saffron rice and very good salad. The flavor and portion sizes are big and bold. One lady runs the whole place, cooking the great food and providing exceptional customer service. She is very sweet, and the staff are the nicest people. The atmosphere is calm and quiet, making it a good place to grab some lunch and take a breather, or to study or relax. The mint lemonade is made fresh and refreshing. It is mostly takeout, but tasty to eat there. Customers feel at home and will definitely come again.
