My wife and I have visited the Black Kettle twice in two weeks. We've ordered the Whiting fish dinner and the smoked sausage on a bun with fries. I enjoyed both. My one preference would be to have the fries fried a bit longer because I like crispy fries. The owner is real nice and social. We will visit again!

EAT HERE NOW! This is what I can tell you about the Black Kettle. I visited this week on Weds as they are close to my work, and I was starving at lunch. I opted for the BBQ party wings, mac and cheese and a drink. I knew as I walked up that something good was happening inside because the smell was amazing. What I didn't expect was the super friendly staff, and food that was so good, I was salivating thinking about that ridiculously delish mac and cheese. EVERYTHING was amazing. My meal had hush puppies that took my mouth back to South Carolina home cooking, a soft roll, and the PERFECT wings. There is so much more on the menu catch of the day, scallops, liver, greens, banana bread, lemon cake, and so on and so on. The price is spectacular, and the portion size will def make sure you have leftovers, or become so full it hurts. Guess what? I went back today and ordered it again. I ate it for lunch, and for dinner...do yourself a favor and go there (: I'm sold

A great little hole in the wall restaurant! I had the special, a barbecue sandwich with slaw, a side of potato salad, hush puppies and a drink for $6. A great deal and delicious. Friendly staff and a good amount of outdoor seating make this a fine place to spend a pleasant Fall lunch or dinner.
