I enjoy this place. Unfortunately, I saw a roach crawling where I went to get my plate and I freaked out. That was months ago. I have since back 4 days ago, still with PTSD from the event. However, the food was good! The food is rotated in a good order, always fresh, hot and tasty. I enjoyed my server Danny, she's always pleasant and welcoming. I'll be back!
I travel from Nofolk several times a year to Buffet Star as it is consistently the best Chinese Buffet in the entire region. The New Years day buffet is an annual tradition. \nNot being a seafood eater, the vast array of additional offersings is always a welcome option. Sorry to say, my visit yesterdy, January 1, 2026 was not up to standard. Food was VERY bland and lacked any form of seasonings. Black Pepper Chicken had no pepper, Ham floating in a pool of water was waterlogged,...
Good variety of food, nice staff, great price, plenty of seating. Fresh salad/fruit bar. The staff made sure we were safe during a really bad storm ; they told us to stay until the storm passed which was very nice of them. They have a hibachi/hot bowl chef, sushi bar and good desserts. The restroom was the only thing that could use more attention.
