We were visiting the Hampton area for our church convocation and decided to try a restaurant we don’t have in our local area — The Greene Turtle.
This place was awesome! While the ambiance could use some updating, the food more than made up for it.
Our order started with the spinach dip, followed by a Maryland crab cake sandwich with fries, a plant-based burger with coleslaw, and fish & chips. Everything was freshly cooked and absolutely delicious. The Maryland crab cake was seasoned and cooked to perfection — you could taste the quality in every bite.
No one at our table had a single complaint about their meal. Even the Arnold Palmer was spot on!
We will definitely keep The Greene Turtle on our list of restaurants to return to when we’re back in the area. Highly recommend!

Wish I could give a review on the food itself but after sitting for almost 50 minutes and not even having a server came and take our drink order we left. The menu looked amazing wish I could have tried it.

If ever you find yourself stranded in Hampton, Virginia, because your hotel room isn't available yet and you need a place to cool your heels until the room is ready, go to The Green Turtle Sport Bar and cross your fingers that Stacy the Bartender is working.
Why? ... Because Stacy's awesome.
Have you ever saddled up to a bar, been greeted by the person who's slinging suds behind the counter, and then suddenly feel like you're home? That's what it's like when Stacy greets you. She's a consummate professional, she's great at sassy conversation, and she knows NFL football.
Though I was only passing through Hampton on my way back home to the D.C. Beltway, Stacy from the Green Turtle Sports Bar made enough of an impression on me -- as I'm sure she does on all patrons who visit that fine establishment -- that I will be sure to always bring my friends and family to the Turtle before any other establishment, next time I'm in the area.

Had lunch at the bar with Stacy the bartender. Service was great as was the conversation. Had wings and the Bavarian pretzel. Both were delicious. We will definitely be back.

Came here with my two little ones during some rare downtime and I should’ve left the moment I walked in. It was hotter than a car with the windows up in the desert sun. My hair’s still wet from sweating. The AC was not working.
The food was okay, but not worth the heatstroke. Only stayed because getting toddler and my baby inside was already a whole production. Regretted it by the last bite. Maybe the AC will work tomorrow but today was definitely not the day.

Had a lunch date with hubby at the location in Hampton . Good was delicious and customer service was great . Best 10 out of 10. Bartender STACY was GREAT , great laughs , bar drinks was on point . She had great customer service and gave a warm welcoming when we walked in. Will definitely be back again .
