the food is so delicious!
Amazing place to hang out with friends and everyone is very nice and friendly!
We’re on a roadtrip from Asheville, NC and this was one of my most anticipated stops. It did not disappoint.
With much gratitude, I can say I’ve enjoyed Ethiopian food in many cities, including some in East Africa. This is some of the best I’ve ever had.
The Taste of Habesha has all the classic dishes down to a science - well-spiced and so good, it’s hard to stop yourself from eating all of it!

Taste Of Habesha is a cozy little restaurant serving authentic East African food. The food is absolutely incredible, richly flavored, and fresh. The menu includes a veggie platter with injera, misir, gomen, tikil gomen, yellow split pea stew, and a perfect salad. Other dishes include Doro Wot, Lamb Tibbs, and dry ribs. They have solid options for people who want it spicy, or not, and a variety of vegetarian food. Their fresh no added sugar fruit juices and blended juices are awesome. The service is excellent, and everyone is so friendly, kind, and helpful. The family of four platter is a great way to sample all the good dishes, with very generous amounts of extra injera included. Prices are very reasonable. There is also a hookah available, perfect for relaxing and chatting after the meal. The restaurant is not too far from Interstates 81 for those traveling by. Definitely coming back.
