Been coming here for the ćevapi on lepinja for like 10 years. The food is always consistent and top quality; Balkan is one of the only restaurants I’ve been to in Richmond that has never missed the mark. And the staff are super friendly!
A Google search for Armenian food in Richmond led me to Balkan. We were having our son's christening in Richmond but live in Virginia Beach so not familiar with restaurants in the Richmond area. Everyone I spoke to on the phone was so nice and accommodating for our event. Portions were so generous and everything was beyond delicious, truly amazing! The mixed meat platter and potatoes especially! They delivered to the church and were on time, even after we changed the time...
This restaurant needs to be included in Richmond restaurant week. This is the ONLY place in Richmond you can get delicious balkan potatoes! The chicken kebab is seasoned so well! The sautéed vegtables are the best in Richmond!
