Brunches Reviews
From the moment our group of five walked in, the service was underwhelming. We were not greeted or acknowledged, leaving us to ask the host if she needed our name for seating. She casually told us it would be a 20-minute wait, which was fine, so we headed to the bar. Unfortunately, the bartender ignored us for at least 20 minutes while serving everyone else. Brunches in Short Pump offers a delightful breakfast experience with delicious food and exceptional service. The restaurant features a modest selection of mimosas, cocktails, and breakfast shots, including a fun variety of specialty shots for coffee. While it can be busy, orders come quickly, and the background music enhances the pleasant atmosphere. The restaurant accommodates dietary restrictions with multiple gluten-free and vegetarian options. Diners should try the chicken and waffles, a soft and fluffy perfection, though some felt it needed more seasoning. The breakfast burrito, topped with amazing queso cheese, is also a highlight, along with the sausage and gravy. Guests can enjoy a nice setting with blinds to block out some sun on the bar side. The crab cake Benny and chicken and gravy were also mentioned as great with perfect poached eggs. The mimosas are massive and served in a beta fishbowl on a stem. Some found the service needed improvement, with servers not checking in. The space is clean and nice-looking, making it a must-visit spot, especially for those celebrating special occasions. Hidden in a strip mall, Brunches is a gem in the Richmond area. Some diners found there were too many flies in the restaurant.
