Me and my fiancé come here regularly now to the point that the staff know to get us two bowls as me and my fiancé share one bowl of hot pot! This place is a gem here in Richmond area and I’m so thankful we stopped in one day to give it a try. The food is flavorful and the selection of ingredients is unmatched! We love it here and will keep returning!

Best spicy hot pot in Virginia. It’s not the traditional Chinese hotpot. Instead, it’s a MALA TANG! My favorite! As a Chinese, this feels so authentic to me. Price is super reasonable!Must try: Green pepper soup. - get ready for lip numbness.

At $23, lunch was ridiculously overpriced and not very good. Got a dry pot that was ruined by the offensive green chili paste they use and eventually I could no longer eat it. The ingredients I selected ended up cooking down to a very small amount, and since they weigh the pre-cooked amount, it's going to cost over $20 to get at least a decent size bowl. Complete rip off. They don't peel the shrimp either so you have to put your hands into your dish to peel them. There are much better all you can eat hot pot Korean barbecue places that charge much more reasonably than this establishment. Avoid!

My favorite restaurant in all of Richmond. It's very expensive, I spend a min of $50 but it feeds me for 4 days lol. I always get it to go bc I can't eat enough to make a dent in their giant servings, and bc when I try to pour into the to go containers, I spill half of it on the table. They can do gluten free hot pot!! And not the dumb chicken stock or veggie stock only stuff.Vegetarian options: Dry pot is vegetarianDietary restrictions: The hot pot is gluten free, dry pot and appetizers are not.

Such a great hot pot option! It's an interesting concept and we weren't quite sure what to do when we first walked in. There was a small language barrier but they have instructions signs printed for reference. You can choose to do hot pot with broth or a dry pot like stir fry. Be aware you pay by the weight and the bowl is very large so it's super easy to want to fill it. I will say that bowl size does turn out to be the same size as the hot pot bowl - it's MASSIVE. The dry pot option is $2 more. You grab a bowl and fill it with all your desired ingredients. They have a wide variety of meats, carbs, and veggies. At the register you let them know whether you'll do hot pot (and choose a broth) or dry pot. You also specify the desired spice level. There's a sauce bar but everything is well seasoned on its own so we didn't utilize it. The seating is designed like a fast casual place. There are some booths and high tops. This is the type of food you want to dine in for. We received complimentary tea eggs, which were a nice surprise. Everyone enjoyed their meals and would love to go back! You can ask for to-go containers if you have leftovers and I would suggest separating the broth and ingredients if you selected hot pot.

I am glad to have discovered this place about a month ago. As a vegan, it's good to come across a place that offers a wide variety of plant based products to choose from. I got carried away and chose a bit of almost every plant produce to add to my vegan mushroom broth which, of course increased the price, as their food prices are based on the total weight of items selected. My only regret is I dumped a whole lot of green condiment into the broth instead of trying out a little bit at first. It had a very intense aftertaste and ruined the overall experience. But I am to blame for that-I found out the hard way to start out easy the next time, no matter how hard core condiment and hot sauce aficionado I might be. I will definitely be back whenever I am in the area and get a hankering for a nice hot pot full of veggies.

Great place! Not a traditional hot pot experience but great food, customizable. Nice staff. The food is self-serve and then weighed (and price based on weight) and prepared in the kitchen. The atmosphere is calm and safe. The food is great and loved the house broth! Check it out!!

Staff were very friendly and food was delicious. We got the spicy cucumber salad along with the calamari as appetizers and HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Wide selection of items to include in your dish and everything looked very fresh. I can see how it can add up quickly since you pay by the pound and there are so many wonderful choices. Next time I will try one of the dry dishes.

Amazing place! I lived in China for over 11 years and this place is very authentic. It's not really the traditional hot pot, it's a soup or iron pot stir fry based on your choice place, where you select the content of your meal by yourself. It's super tasty and if you are looking for an authentic Chinese place - this is it.

This is a very non-traditional hot pot restaurant. It breaks the mold in many ways and in my opinion all for the better! Unlike other hotpot restaurants, you do NOT cook any of the food on your own. Instead, you will pick out your ingredients first, hand them over to be weighed (you're charged based on weight), you will choose your broth (or choose the dry style), choose a spice level from 1-3, and the kitchen will cook the dish for you. It's a very casual place to eat, there are some booths and some high tables that you can seat yourself once you place your order. Once you're seated, you'll receive a complimentary soy sauce egg for each order as well as cups for the soda fountain (which is also complimentary). For appetizers, we ordered the Brown Sugar Rice Cake which was the first dish to come out. Definitely eat that one while it's still hot! I chose the dry pot style because I'm somebody who doesn't typically care for hot pot in general. And my choice was delicious! The dry pot is a stir fry of all the ingredients you picked out with a spicy Szechuan like seasoning alongside white rice. It was pretty fun eating my dry pot while trying to identify all the ingredients I picked out beforehand. It's pretty funny mistaking a sausage for a sweet potato. My favorite ingredient for dry style is the Egg Tofu. It's crispy and spicy on the outside; but the inside is very soft and sweet, it's such a good combination. I would highly recommend trying this place whether or not you normally like hot pot. It caters pretty well to both types of people. All the flavors are there minus having to do your own cooking, plus service is pretty fast too.

Absolutely fantastic and 100% authentic. My wife and I lived in China for 11 years and the taste and flavors are exactly the same. We had the "hot pot" (麻辣烫) this time but can't wait to come back and try the "dry pot" (麻辣香锅) next!!
