My experience was AMAZING. I went with my sisters and for my first time I will definitely say it’s givingggg, it’s even better than southern kitchen. The food came on time, the vibes, the food was bussin, and the music was definitely rnb inspired which had me vibing. Thank you to my server miss Crystal J for her amazing service and I can’t wait to come back!!

Honestly, I hadn't eaten anything from Jackie's in 15 years on the day my oldest grandson was born. I was on the way to see my daughter in the hospital and wanted to take her some food, so I stopped and got us the smothered pork chops, macaroni and cheese, and greens. The food was amazing, not badly priced and the service was incredible. Fast forward to today we went to Jackie's to get dinner. I ordered the smothered pork chops, mashed potatoes and cabbage, and my daughter and grandson ordered the fried chicken wings, Mac and cheese, and greens. Well, I can honestly say that this time was definitely not like the first time back then. The food was bland and you can tell they are cutting corners because of the no flavor. The mashed potatoes tasted like they were out of the box, the gravy tasted like it was made from that powder gravy mix and the cabbage and greens were really bland, The Mac and cheese definitely not like when she first started out. The staff when we picked up the food was rude and inattentive as well as when we ordered. I used to be able to say this was Southern soul food at its finest because you could taste the love and effort that was placed into cooking the food, not anymore. I won't be going back.

The food here is FRESH, HOT and AMAZING! Niya was our server and she provided excellent service! Her mom, Peppy, is the manager and co-owner. Peppy checked on us several times and asked was everything okay and had some nice lengthy personable conversations with us. We had all the traditional soul food favorites and they were all delicious! The lemonade and the catfish was so good that I could not even eat the sides that I ordered; took them to-go. We saw food food being brought our from the kitchen to other tables. I saw someone lifting their steaming hot food to their mouth and saw the steam coming off of the food before it entered their mouth. Another woman told my sister in law, your food looks so good. We said the same thing when we saw food being brought to people at other tables. This has to be the BEST SOUL FOOD restaurant in Richmond EVER!

I went to Jackie's for the first time. The food was good but I didn't like how close I was to the next table and I didn't like seeing the employees bring in stock items. Maybe close for an hour after the church rush to set up and put stock away then reopen overall I enjoyed.

restaurant was very busy during lunch rush as expected but server and fellow surrounding servers were ignoring our table. asking those around us if they needed anything but skipping right past my table. people were being sat AFTER us and still getting their food and leaving before we were served our food. very disappointing service but the food was good:((

I had a bus load with 39 people and I worked with the restaurant manager several days prior to our arrival to provide orders in advance. Upon our arrival the staff worked expeditiously to get our orders out and to the correct person. The food was served hot, the portions for the sides were generous, and the flavor was scrumptious! ?Our server Crystal J did her best to make sure everyone had what they needed. The entire team worked together which made our visit enjoyable. I would definitely recommend Jackie’s and we will visit again when in the area. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
