I've gone to The Daily Carytown many times and have always had excellent food. Went to Short Pump location for brunch today and it was nice there was no wait for a table. I was a bit disappointed that the brunch menu mostly consisted of egg dishes; they did have French toast, but only one and it was bread pudding. I was hoping for some pancakes. I had had some granola pancakes years ago at the Carytown location. I ended up ordering the omelet with tomatoes and white cheddar...
Came for 1st time and chose this restaurant due to gluten free options and that it was not a national chain restaurant. It was late lunch on a Friday. I ordered the Chicken Caprese Panini with GF bread. There were not many tomatoes and the bread was awful. It broke apart everywhere and the taste wasnt good. The fries were ok. Food was kind of warm, not hot. Others that came in after us received their food before us. Our waitress gave us mediocre service and was hardly available....
We had a terrific lunch yesterday. The steamed buns had a generous filling and would easily make a meal. Best sweet potato fries! The food and service were excellent. We will return.
