The Kitchen + Bar @ Short Pump

Brunch menu was pretty extensive. We had a couple service hiccups, though. We had four people order coffee and server brought 3 cups over then said she'd be right back with fourth - took a really long time to see her again to finally ASK for the fourth cup. Another odd thing is there are no spoons with flatware. Stirring coffee had to be done with knife or fork. Then one diner ordered the yogurt, granola and berries - again no spoon. If we had seen the server to ask about...

I had the salmon with the Asian sauce and it was some of the best salmon I've had in a very long time. The shift did an excellent job in the prep and cook the salmon just as it should be my guest had the crabcake and she said it was wonderful. However, as to the ambience of the restaurant, the very first thing I noticed in the booths was at the leather on the seats was all shredded. It makes you wonder about other areas if the first things the guest see are shredded seats....

Great experience start to finish. Julia was our lovely pleasant and efficient waitress. We started with the tuna tower. We gobbled it up before I could snap a picture. It was ample portion for two of us to split. It was as delicious as it was creatively presented. We each had yummy angus burgers then spilt bread pudding for dessert. With a glass of wine, all was less than $70. Very reasonable for a great meal. We will definitely be heading back there again.
