The staff is very polite, the service was great and our meal came to the table pretty quickly. The only issue we had was the food was very bland, with no flavor. Hamburger steak with gravy had no flavoring to it at all. The potato salad tasted as if it came from the grocery store. All in all the experience was great. I would definitely go back to give it a second chance. I've heard great things about this restaurant and other menu items.

Good little mom and pop restaurant. Food was good but not remarkable. I'd go again but probably would not seek it out.

The food was better than average. We didn't have any problems and the staff was very accommodating. This was a nice quiet place to eat.

Kid-friendliness: They have a kids menu that has a lot of options.

Today we ate here and the food was as yummy as it was before! We had Ethan as a server and he was very polite and very attentive to our needs! A very good server!I did however notice something that I have noticed in my previous visits! When people come in to be seated there are employees who are sitting folding napkins and chatting who continue to do so while the guests are waiting to he seated! I saw two sets of people who almost walked out because NO one would acknowledge them and seat them! They just kept right on folding napkins and wrapping silverware! ??

Went to get a take out order (didn't appear to be very busy) but took longer than I would have expected just to take orderWhile waiting we decided to add 2 pieces of pie to orderThat took longer than 2 subs with friesThen the 2 slices of pie rang up for $53.And took 4 people to figure out how to credit my cardBy that time our subs & fries were coldI won't be going back

Breakfast with 8 other folks. Getting a coffee refill was a challenge. Eggs, bacon, etc., all good. Paying is a bit odd, since the registers for cash / credit are separate.

Had the steak n cheese sub, onion rings, water. Big glasses. You probably won't need refill. Sandwich was OK portion and tasty, not to die for but good. Onion rings need work. Kinda thin and not quite crispy. Decent portion but quite a few stuck together. Wife had sailor sandwich. Kinda the same experience but had fries. They were good. They should switch to Heinz ketchup and French's mustard instead of restaurant brand. I like the place and need to try breakfast. If they have good breakfast with traditional stuff, I'll be back, like Arnold the Terminator.

Wow. I am amazed by this incredible restaurant. The atmosphere is really cozy. Unless you don't like taxidermy. I got the fried chicken. It was made from scratch and really juicy inside. You know it is great when you come on a Wednesday evening and the parking lot had about 30 cars. I was traveling and was going to stop at the gas station to grab something quick. I saw the restaurant was crowded..I was curious. Glad I did. Food was home cooked and they were really fast. I waited 10 minutes for a to go order. If I lived here I would come to this reasonably priced restaurant/bar. There is plenty of seating and parking.. worth making trip to come here.

Stopped to get gas and saw restaurant. Wife said let’s try it for breakfast. BAD MISTAKE. So many people there they were being turned away. Place was crowded. I don’t know why. Must been only restaurant in the area. Ordered their big breakfast. Suppose to have 3 eggs (way you want them) meat (bacon) biscuit, grits, hashbrowns and pancakes. Got order to go. Took 45 minutes. When got order sure didn’t look like 3 eggs, (should have took pic of that mess) eggs scrambled, hashbrowns fried on one side and burnt up, biscuit was week old, forgot my grits (had to go back on them) and pancakes were burnt and had no taste. Where was McDonalds when i needed them. HORRIBLE

UPDATE: customer service has gotten worse. Ordered ham and cheese sandwich and after 20 minutes I got a sandwich with cheese missing. Even with cheese, the sandwich is ridiculously priced. The waitress had an attitude with us.Nice and cozy atmosphere despite the covid regulations in place. Service was really nice and the food was great.

Very much a maw and pop restaurant. Southern style country food. Reminds me of when I was a kid going to my grandparents house on Sundays and the smell of country food cooking. You definitely get your money's worth. We went twice in one weekend because it was that good! I would/will visit again! Thank you for being such a family oriented restaurant!

This place had the ultimate down-home feel. Very reasonably priced, great portions of appetizers and entrees alike. It’s enough to fill your stomach without making you feel completely miserable. We had the fried Catfish, as well as the fried Flounder - both were amazing. Battered in cornmeal just enough to where you had a near perfect balance of fish and batter taste. The Cole Slaw, amazing! The Hush Puppies…AHHHmazing. Our service was super prompt, and our waitress Kristen was very attentive.Highly recommended!!

My husband and I stopped here for breakfast on the way to Luray Caverns on a Wednesday morning and we loved it! The staff is very kind, and welcoming. The breakfast is a traditional southern menu! My husband got “The Whole Barrell” for $10.50 and it came with 2 pancakes, 2 eggs, your choice of sausage/bacon/maple ham, your choice of potatoes shredded/hash/rounds, traditional grits and your choice of biscuit/English muffin/toast. I got the egg/cheese/bacon biscuit with corn beef hash! The biscuit was $3.75 and a side of corn beef hash I believe was in between $2-$3. This little diner is located maybe a mile off the interstate behind the exon gas station. We would highly recommend stopping in and supporting this delicious local southern comfort diner!
