Twisted Sweets and Savory is an authentic Hungarian gem! Having visited family in Hungary, I’ve always enjoyed kürtőskalács (chimney cakes) and would get cravings for it. The owner, Julianna, has not only perfected this delicious treat but has also put her own *twist* on it by making savory options for sandwiches. Which I now also get cravings for!!! 10/10 I recommend this place, so glad it’s right here in Herndon.

All the sandwiches taste the same, I tried all of them and it’s like I’m eating the same thing over and over

Innovative and delicious. I got the Italian twist with jalepeno chimney. My wife got the salmon on everything. Both were excellent. Will be back.

This place is fantastic. I come in town for work and get their tuna on the cheesy roll every time for lunch. The bread is so so so good.

I always get the plain and love it. Friendly service and convenient location. Julia and Mark are the best, shop is owner operated and it shows.

Skip The Wharf and don't fall for the hype out there for chimney cakes—instead, come here! I highly recommend this location as they are open earlier and offer much more than just dessert. They offer some of the best sandwiches I've tried in my life.

They have a large variety of chimney cakes and breads for their sandwiches. I asked for a recommendation and was told either the Reuben (limited time), the Italian, or the Hungarian sandwich. I went with the Italian (per the worker's suggestion), and I highly recommend it!

Fantastic! I don't write alot of reviews. the bread and the quality of the ingredients is just hard to compare to anything. One of those places you just hope never changes because they have the recipe for success.

The sweet chimneys are fabulous. The savory sandwich chimneys, however, are excessively bland. The base overwhelms whatever flavor the outer coating tries to provide, including the everything bagel seasoning and jalapeño cheese. Despite the seasoned crust, the base is so bland that it dulls all other flavors and cannot taste the flavors of the sandwich and dressings

Had the veggie sandwich. Both the bread and veggies were super fresh and delicious. Really enjoyed it! It was very clean in the store and service was quick and friendly.
