The grounds are beautiful and serene. The wine is decent, but a bit pricey. Food was average.
The only thing we did not enjoy a whole lot is the seating/table side service. We were sat by the host and had a server who waited on us. While the service was good, it took away from our experience. This is a winery, not a restaurant. We like to just grab whichever seat we like most and get wine/food at the centralized location when we are ready. Having table side service felt intrusive. We come to wineries to get away from people and decompress, not to feel forced into small talk and needing to interact with yet another person. If you begin catering to introverts in addition to your usual crowd, we might be back and recommend you to our friends and family.

Not your average winery. We were treated like royalty. Wine is perfect . Atmosphere pleases everyone— private tables l, social porches, music, Adirondack chairs, fun. Really my new fav. Hunter took care of us to the T.

This winery was an extremely disappointing visit for us as we have been going to their competitors for YEARS (868, 8 chains, Breaux, hillsboro, two twisted posts.. etc) with NO issues. We walk in today with my 4 year old and 2 year old and were greeted by a very grumpy older gentleman, almost bothered that were there. The first thing he said was “oh… you have kids. You can’t sit in here you’ll have to sit in the back room because this area is for 21 and over.” Which right off the bat was a complete turn off because it felt as if we were being shunned and he didn’t even let us get out the fact that all we wanted was a tasting/bottle and then we had planned to move to the outside part. He came to the back room and apologized and said that the police’s are in place so we don’t “encroach” on other customers experiences while there. In my opinion, this is absolutely ridiculous. You can walk right into all of the surrounding wineries with children and they greet you with smiling faces and are always happy to serve you. It’s a shame this winery doesn’t have better management or employees because it’s a gorgeous venue. Hospitality is big and if your customer service sucks, people won’t support your business. If you have kids don’t waste your time walking into this establishment. Take your business elsewhere (for starters 868 and 8 chains) where they’re happy to have you and provide excellent customer service as well as wine no matter the age of visitors in your party.

This is not the same family oriented winery that we remember from before Covid. Do not come to this winery if you have children under 21.. Before Covid, we had been bringing our youngest here since age 3. My service dog was allowed in the 21 and older section but our 13 year old daughter was denied. They blamed the new restricted children section on Covid. We walked right out and went to another winery and had no problem.

Not family friendly. My parents were going to see their friend Gary perform live music. My almost three year old and I decided to tag along and apparently, despite saying kid friendly on their website, we would not be allowed to sit where we could see or even hear the music. We decided to just leave, and my poor daughter was so sad and crying because she wanted to see the music. We will not be back nor recommending this winery. So disappointing.

I am a member at this winery. Their wines are good, and I quite enjoy the lite fare they offer.Service truly depends on who you get. I have had some truly awful experiences here-- but also some absolutely superb ones.I have kept the membership for over a year and have been pleased with the new releases over the last year.

Doukenie Winery is one of my top 3 favorites in the area! I’ve now visited three times in the past few months and I am more impressed with each visit. The wine is amazing. They have an extensive variety of, all of which are well balanced. The staff are very knowledgeable and friendly. The food options aren’t bad. The atmosphere… oh let me tell you… it’s hard to beat the atmosphere at this winery! Quaint, cozy, nice views of the outdoors, many seating options indoors and outdoor including seats by the pond. It’s an amazing spot! If you like wine, don’t pass by this place. It’s truly wonderful!

Good wine. Food menu wasn't the best and the overall vibe wasn't to our taste.
