I have eaten here a few times, it’s not really that good. If you do choose to eat here you will experience mediocre service, bad food and a case of diarrhea so bad you will want to jump off the Empire State Building on to a bicycle with no seat.

Visited on a weekend with some friends and family. We all ordered different dishes and we loved them all. Everything was so delicious!

Very tasty authentic recipes are prepared fresh here. The service is really excellent. The value is one of the best experiences we have enjoyed. Good for family budgets.

Good fresh hot tortilla chips and salsa. We all thought our meals were one of the best tasting Mexican meals we ever had. Try them you won’t be disappointed.

Only a couple of hundred yards from the motel we spent the night at. Our first time here. Not crowded when we arrived, but it had begun to fill up as we finished. It looked to me that it is popular with the locals. The items we had for dinner were well prepared and tasty. They only had one person working the tables, but she *hustled* to take good care of everyone. We may travel through the region again next year and would definitely come back to this place again. Recommended!Parking: Plenty of parking for the size of the place.

The Grande plate is literally the best deal in town! My family loves this place! It takes us a little out of the way to get to Hillsville for supper but it is always worth it! I love Mexican food, and I have to say this restaurant must have snatched up the best chef for the area bc their food has the most authentic flavor than anywhere else in the three local counties. Also just an added icing on the cake, their mix drinks are great and mixed strong. The guacamole is made fresh.Kid-friendliness: Seating inside and out.Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp

Restaurant was super busy and low staffed, but food was great. Saw several to go orders as well. Staff did great, though, as only saw 2 servers handling it all

We’re staying at a nearby hotel . We chose Rio Grande because it had a full bar available. We ordered two jumbo margaritas at just 9 bucks a piece . Those weren’t special, kinda trac. Then my chicken soup came. Off the charts ! Lotsa shredded chicken, homemade broth, pico and sliced avocado. Slurp—ahh! My husband had a jumbo burrito, he raved . I ordered guacamole— better than any restaurant ever , even Baja . This food was better than I had the 2 years I lived in Baja, Mexico. I had one cheese one chicken and one beef enchiladas. The refried beans were so flavorful. Rice was left on my plate I was too full . Service was good and the restaurant ambiance was fine . Go for the food. You won’t regret it. A side note — it was not expensive at all. Rather cheap actually. Food that good for a cheaper price. A home run

Cheese dip was cold! Restrooms were nasty, food tasted reheated I’d give it no stars if i could! Manager was on phone in front of customers I’m a manager at a local restaurant and I’d never seen such bad service

We'll definitely come back on our next trip. Their Margaritas were huge in size and taste! The server was friendly and fast. The different meals we had were all good!

I was really hungry after a full day on the road with a long time since breakfast. Hillsville near the hotels is mostly fast food chains but I wanted a sit-down meal with service. This place was close to my hotel and it fit the bill. It was a Monday night and not many customers were there. The restaurant was clean, the service was very fast, and the enchiladas dinner I ordered was simple but really fresh and very tasty. I nibbled on the chips and salsa which were both OK. My lime margarita was outstanding and my water glass was never left empty. The price was right, even including my jumbo margarita. I'd eat here again. The hostess/waitress mentioned in other comments was working the floor by herself and was busting her butt the whole time. It seemed she was filling more than one role. She wasn't a chatterbox (no time to be) but she was good at her job and very efficient with her own way of doing things to make sure the customers were ordered, served, and billed quickly. If you're a city person used to "delightful experiences" in dining, it's not so much like that in more rural areas. Take a few minutes to charm your server, tip in cash when you have it, and understand that we're lucky that restaurants like this one are surviving despite the covid era and are often short-staffed on busier nights.

We stopped here because it was close to our hotel and because a few of the reviews were good. We wee not disappointed. I got he shrimp tacos and they were excellent! My husband got the chili relëno and he enjoyed his dinner. I got an order of guacamole and it was homemade and outstanding! My Petron margarita was very good as well! We will go again next year on our way South!

I called in to place an order because Google says they deliver but the female that answered the phone was very rude and hung up on me. She did not even give me a chance to place an order to come pick it up. I recommend not dealing with rude people like this go eat somewhere else.

Party of 5 on a late Friday dinner. All plates were good except the carne plate lacking flavor. The refried beans were cold. Ample menu options like most Mexican places. Would go back.
