“We went to Houndstooth to celebrate my husband’s birthday. I wished we had been able to also stay at the B&B. The 5-course meal was outstanding, delicious, and filling! The wine pairings and cocktails were also spot on and delicious! We will be coming back again.”

“We went for lunch on a sunny Saturday. All that was available outside was a table without an umbrella, which we took. But when an umbrella table opened up we were switched. Just one example of the superb service. Both the curry chicken and pulled pork were excellent. Best Pommes Frites ever. Beautiful setting. And dog friendly outside!”

We just had the absolute tastiest, freshest cinnamon roll in this wholesome bakery. The atmosphere is so warm and welcoming, and the rolls were served fresh out of the oven. The owner shared wonderful stories of the town's history and explained their incredible commitment to ingredients. Everything is made fresh right there, and they even use stone-ground flour made by the Amish. This attention to quality truly shows. If you're looking for a treat, stop by!”

“I came to celebrate my birthday with a group of seven friends. We originally had a reservation for six people and I added an additional two, in a seprate online reservation. I called ahead to let them know we were running late. We were told it was okay and they would still be able to accommodate us. When we arrived my party was at two separate tables. One table was for two and the other was for six. I asked the waitress if it was possible to move the two guest to our table of six. She said "no" and I said "okay, I understand." Then the general manger Ken Gray came over yelling at my me and my table of guests. He aggressively told me that they can't do that, however, it was unnecessary because it was already understood and accepted. We enjoyed our $800 tasting until, Ken Gray came back again, aggressively telling us that we needed to get up because the next party was there. I proceeded to get up to go outside and he came back again after I left yelling at my guests. I felt discriminated against and definitely did not feel welcomed at Crimson Lane Vineyards as an African American woman. I was extremely disappointed in Ken Gray's aggressive behavior. It put a damper on my birthday celebration!”

I didn’t even realize it was their 2-year anniversary tonight until I walked in. They open at 5 PM, and the front is a great dining spot. If you don’t mind live music, poetry, comedy, or a little show-and-tell energy, the back room is its own experience … it feels alive. The staff has always been solid too; some are award-winning mixologists and artists themselves. Catamount brings a real breath of life to the community. Highly recommend if you want something authentic, warm, and creatively alive.”

“I live in Little Washington and I dine here frequently. My experience up until this point has been mostly good. I had only wished that they had a slightly larger selection of food and my personal taste does not love probably 60% of what they have to offer - I do not like mixing sweet and savory. Today I ordered take out which I do frequently. I picked up my order and went home only to find that $30 worth of ice cream was missing. I called and went back to pick the ice cream. I stood in the entry way for several minutes while the bartender spoke with other guests before he handed me the ice cream. I got home and the caramel topping was missing… not the end of the world, but I feel like that’s a major part of their $15 butter pecan ice cream. Thought about driving back again to get it, but at this point 3 trips just to get what I paid for right doesn’t seem worth the effort. Probably won’t order for pick up again. Maybe they should not offer pickup because they always seem a little flustered when I order to take home.”

The decor and resturant its self is clean and chic. The service was friendly, quick, and attentive. Then the food was amazing!!! I would have never thought in a million years to find good Nepali food in a small mountain town. I can not recommend Khukiri Nepali Cuisine enough.”

The only thing I didn't like was the horchata, but that was a minor blip. I'll definitely come back when I'm in town, and recommend it to other people.”
