We'll never stay at the place down the street. We loved everything about our stay and all the kind folks who made it special. We especially liked the two story cottage. You are our go to place on the Northern

My husband and I spent a wonderful weekend at the Hope & Glory! The accommodations were beautiful and charming. We especially loved the flowers in the garden. The Inn was quiet and peaceful. The pool was perfect. We were walking distance to shops and restaurants. The staff is incredible and we could tell they put a lot of heart into making sure their guests have a welcoming and special stay. They make you feel right at home. We will spread the word and sure hope to be back again! Thank you!!

Hope and Glory is a great spot on the Northern Neck. The owners and staff are fully engaged, attentive and delightfully hospitable. The place is as quaint as it gets.Special thanks to Messeret, who stayed up late keeping us company for nightcap in Detention (cute on premise bar). Thank you!

Prepare to have your mind blown when you walk in the door!! If the perfectly appointed main lobby and personalized rooms did not win you over then surely the individual cottages and the picturesque gardens outback will let you know you landed in a small piece of paradise. The creators and curators of this wonderland winery-bed-and-breakfast are Peggy and Dudley, who will treat you like old friends with every greeting. We came for a weekend getaway and the unique opportunity for an Italian culinary experience with visiting Carmelita. we walked away with a newfound appreciation for her culinary treats, and many new friends after a night of wine and fresh Italian fair.

We were looking for a weekend away. This is a great place. The owners are on-site and very friendly. Service was the watchword throughout the visit with the owners and staff very attentive and hands on. The rooms are rustic chic. Comfortable with nice amenities.Several small, but excellent restaurants within walking distance. The Inn has an exceptional reservation only restaurant. I will post a review separately. We found Irvington a very relaxing and pleasant town to visit.

This place and these people are so special that I hesitate to give such a glowing recommendation that it’s full the next time I want to stay.

What an incredible experience! Expect to be coddled like you're the most important guest. And then the food... enjoy a culinary experience like nothing you've experienced... especially in a tiny out of the way location. I'll be going back again and again and again!! The chef is fabulous beyond words. Treat yoursel!!

My wife Debbie and I spent two blissful nights at the charming and historic Hope and Glory Inn. The proprietors Peggy and Dudley were amazingly personable and attentive. Even though we visited in the dead of the offseason, we felt like VIPs enjoying the cozy cottage with a toasty fireplace and quaint furnishings—side note the king sized bed and accompanying bedding may have been the most comfortable we’ve ever slept in. Delicious hot breakfast delivered to our door topped off a memorable stay. The only regret is that we couldn’t partake in the multi-course seasonal dinner due to our schedule. Next time for sure! I can’t give this place a higher recommendation. Thank you Peggy and Dudley!

We've made 4 visits to the Hope & Glory and every time it's like going back to see dear friends who do everything possible to make us comfortable and welcome and keep us well fed! We love the location but I gave it 4 stars because it's off the beaten path--but it's a path well worth traveling. "Charming" is an understatement.

I was here with my family for dinner at the Colonnade restaurant. The food was incredible. So was the service. Highly recommended. This was one of the best dining experiences!Food & drinks: We did not stay at the hotel, just ate at the restaurant. It was incredible. The food that Chef Meseret made was out of this world. The autumn soup and crab cake were my number 1 favorite

My mother and I spent a "Girls Getaway Weekend" at the H&G and couldn't have been more pleased with the entire experience. Hurricane Ophelia blew through which caused us to cancel some activities, but the accommodations, food, and wonderful hospitality more than made up for it. If you get a chance, plan your getaway with Peggy, Dudley, Meseret, and Heather at H&G. You won't be disappointed and will leave relaxed and very contented!!
