My wife and I went here after visiting the Steamboat Museum and before driving up to Kilmarnock, and WOW. We were blown away. We had paninis, my wife had the Flying Tomato and I had the Frisco Tuna Melt. They were so, so good. Great flavor, fresh ingredients, perfectly toasted. Everyone was very friendly and the vibe inside had a smidge of nautical and a good coffee-shop bench section, very cozy especially when it started raining. Love The Local! The food and coffee are wonderful, but what really makes it special is the friendly, small-town feel. It may take a little longer, but everything is made and served with kindness and care. We’re so used to the grab-and-go, fast food mentality…this is the opposite, in the best way. Slow down, enjoy the beautiful outdoor space, and appreciate a place that feels genuinely welcoming. We never come here without a Local or two trip!
Stumbled upon this place in search of breakfast on a Monday. We got sausage, egg and cheeses on bagel and they were so delicious. The iced lattes were very good too. A bit on the pricier side but worth it!
