Cotton & Rye continues to be a great spot whether you are staying locally or visiting the area. We stopped in last night after arriving at the Lansdowne Resort around 10pm. The bar only had a few people at first, and Sharoush greeted us right away and had our Old Fashioneds up quickly.

It's the hotels casual fare. If your expectations are fine dining you'll be disappointed, but as far as a calm and relaxing bar with Virginia theming then you'll have a good time.
Food is generic but consistent (bar foods with occasionally new fare). Staff is attentive since it's usually calm.
