The reason why I gave 2 stars to this place regarding the food is because they sell a fake filet mignon, yes, you are reading correctly. While the service was great, the place was beautiful, and the food tasted good, we were disappointed when my husband tried the filet mignon. We eat a lot of steaks and we usually eat them at home as we like good quality stakes but he decided to give them a try. Immediately, he noted that it wasn't as tender as these steaks are. I tried...
Forget the negative reviews...complaining about not a vast winery--its not..its primarily a restaurant...angry about non smoking...please in 2025?...cant bring my dog..its a forest environment , there could be animals around and owners also prefer not to pick up dog litter., etc. Jeff is an outstanding chef, owner Lori is exceptionally pleasant, great ambiance, lovely natural beauty....
My wife and I stopped here and stayed overnight in our RV on the way home. Dinner was fantastic. We had a delicious salad, then braised short rib and filet mignon. Lori helped us choose a great wine. If I could make bread like that, I’d never leave the house.
