Is it even still open. Just went there and it looks like it was abandoned and the doors were locked. Talked to the people at Hidden Brook Winery and they said it was closed and is being sold.

Very cozy winery set in a relaxing rural setting. This is the ‘Goldilocks’ winery in VA; not too big, not too small, but just right. Wines were very good, the reds were superior with a winemaker that understands to let reds age before releasing them. Matt was our server and he was great. Highly recommended for a classic Old Dominion vineyard experience.

We (a party of 2) did a chef’s tasting. For the money ($200 including tip) it was a decent value. Four courses were mushroom soup, salad, salmon, and cheesecake. Food was warm, could have been hot. A lot of time passed between first and second courses. Would do it again though probably. Venue was very cute. Had a lot of outdoor options but they are firm that they do not allow pets.

6 years ago we visited the winery for brunch and had such a memorable experience. We looked so forward to returning this time while visiting the area. Over the last 6 years we often talked about how we can't wait to sit in the beautiful courtyard, sip mimosas and listen to the fountain while eating brunch. Unfortunately, things have changed. First, we were the only people at brunch. We were seated outside at my request. The table and chairs were dirty. I understand we are outside under a trellis of branches but they could still be wiped down before customers arrive. The vegetation around us was overgrown. It was not a charming atmosphere at all. Second, no Bloody Mary's or mimosas only wine. Lastly, no real "brunch" food choices. We split mushroom soup and burrata salad. We had to go elsewhere to eat. The "only" good thing was our waiter Trent. He was so friendly and kind, plus a pleasure to talk to. If it wasn't for Trent, I would probably be leaving a one star review.

We ended our Mother’s Day winery weekend here with their Mother’s Day Brunch - two years in a row. Last year (‘23), our waitress was super friendly and knowledgeable and the food was amazing! Wine was okay and overall value seemed overpriced but because of the excellent service and food, we returned this year. This year (‘24), we did NOT have the same experience. The food was okay but nowhere close to what we expected after last year. The waitress didn’t even know what she was serving (kept leaning over to look at the menu) and came off rude and annoyed the entire brunch. This woman is the reason people dislike pre-paid tips: she received an $85 included tip to give us an unpleasant experience. Also to note: one person in our party of 5 had to stay home sick, but they are firm on their “no refunds” policy so she was out her $108! Additionally, our waitress seemed annoyed that we wanted our (paid, non-refundable) missing person’s food brought out to us to share.WILL NOT RETURN. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Wine and food tasting was absolutely fantastic! Compliments to the chef! Food is all farm-to-table, and I highly recommend the Viognier, quinoa arugula salad, and pumpkin canolis.

Highly recommend this winery! They have great reds, whites and rosés! My favorite was the Cabernet Franc which paired very well with their flourless chocolate cake (gf friends will be so happy here!) the staff is knowledgeable and very friendly and social! However, when I pulled out my book, they knew I wanted to enjoy my wine and dessert in peace, but when the book was closed, they knew to engage in convo. Perfect for an outgoing introvert such as myself! Best of the Rosés was definitely the Rosé 2022 over the Rosa Natura both in brilliant color and flavor! Even though they were busy, the staff did not let it phase them, and they still paid attention to every customer with a personal touch. Definitely a place to check out and relax at!

Absolutely amazing! I could go on and on about the service, the wine, and the scenery. Everyone who works there is friendly, down to earth, talkative, and more than happy to answer questions. No "wine snobs" here ? A very welcoming place for everyone! The wine is great too! Not one wine was a disappointment. Try the Viognier! You will love it! Straight from the Blue Ridge Mountains! Our backyard! And who doesn't love fruit from your backyard! Also, if you have a chance to try anything from the executive chef... do it!This was my 3rd time visiting this winery, and it's still the same experience each time!Just an update.. have been to two more dinners served by this winery, and both were great. Still recommend after several visits!

A true gem boutique winey. Friendly staff, good food and surprisingly delicious wines

This is our favorite winery. They also have amazing food, I highly recommend their wine pairing meals. They're very good with gluten allergies.

An absolutely phenomenal experience! My family and I came here to celebrate a retirement. We were late for our reservation. Some of our party was running extremely late. We, accidentally, stayed past closing. The entire time the staff were unbelievably professional and, most importantly, kind. They answered our numerous questions about the winery and its processes, the menu, and the history. We had fantastic wine and a honestly Elizabeth and her team made the already great experience better. We checked out in such a hurry after we realized we’d stayed past closing that we forgot several bottles of wine we bought. Elizabeth went out of her way on her off time to make sure we got our bottles that night despite us offering to come back the next day or pay for shipping. The winery and its landscape were beautiful. The wine was one of a kind and delicious. The food was beyond delicious. But what really makes this winery worth the trip is the staff that believes in it.

Overall we had a nice time and the food was very good. Our server poured the new samples of our wine flight into the same glass which was confusing, especially for a winery. The tables around us were given separate glasses, and it made our experience a bit awkward. Our one glass was unpolished and had many visible water stains

A highly civilized experience, with verdant pergolas on the flagstone patio (adults only, no pets)
