Daycare center or brewery? What's happened in the past 10-20 years where parents insisted bringing their infants to bars and breweries? Good beer and sprawling grounds...but atmosphere, it's like being thrown into an episode of Rugrats.
I recently visited Vanish Brewery, and unfortunately, it was a frustrating and disappointing experience from the moment I walked in. The lack of proper customer service was immediately apparent—there was no warm greeting, no bartenders at the bar, and instead, I was met with a setup that felt more like ordering at a fast-food chain than a craft brewery.
Rather than providing helpful guidance, the brewery relies on an overwhelming amount of written instructions, leaving first-time visitors to figure things out on their own. The young cashiers seemed uninterested and were quick to point out if a customer had “failed” to follow their instructions, rather than offering any real assistance.
When I ordered a flight of 12 drinks, they placed them on an unnecessarily heavy wooden slab that even the staff struggled to carry. They ended up spilling my beer and still expected me to haul it to my table—meanwhile, with the audacity to tell me next time to fill out two cards which isn’t written any where. When I politely requested two separate, more manageable blocks, I was met with attitude, as if I had inconvenienced them, despite having already paid and tipped.
This is not the kind of place where customers are valued or treated with respect. If you’re looking for a welcoming atmosphere where staff genuinely care about your experience, I’d strongly recommend taking your business elsewhere. Vanish Brewery is far from a relaxing or enjoyable place to visit, and I won’t be returning.
That is why people vanish.
Nice place with great service and really good beer.
nice place. One of my favorite place in Loudoun County
Vanish truly is one of my fav breweries in this area. I will drive/ride specifically to enjoy the views, the brews, and everything this place has to offer. The staff is always top notch. The selection of beer is expansive— having even some sour options for drinkers like me with a sweet tooth. They also offer wine and a lot of food options. If you go on the weekends- they have a shop calls Nollypop that’s open and it’s great. Came for the Pink Ribbon release benefiting a local charity— this continues to show me this places dedication to the local community and its causes. Keep it up, Vanish.
Lots to see & do at this large brewery on the edge of historic Leesburg.
Convenient to Lucketts & other shopping.
Plenty of indoor & outdoor seating options
Beer was fantastic! ( lots of choices )
Plenty of parking - staff was great.
Come ready to relax!
What a great venue, something for everyone. Kids, dogs, music lovers, and the view..
prices aren’t terrible, live music sometimes, staff is great and engaging mostly.
If the line is long in one room, go to another.. it’s usually a great spread across multiple buildings and it’s just a great time.
This. Place. Is. MASSIVE! What a venue, wow! And they grill oysters outside, which is awesome.
Wedding rehearsal dinner was an embarrassment! Was told I ordered enough food for 90 people! We had 65 people. You ran out of food, only having enough for maybe 40 people! No one was overseeing our event. When we expressed to whoever was working at your bar, the lack of an adequate amount of food, and that we ran out, we were given the option of having our guests order (and pay!)for food from your regular menu! What??? Our air conditioned reserved area was hot and uncomfortable. Asked for pitchers of water and soda….”go get those yourself!” ?Lack of professionalism, lack of proper customer service and over paid for an inadequate amount of food! No one should leave a dinner having to get back to their hotel and order pizza! Vanish?? Jonathan? Ann? Your reply??
My reply to reply from Vanish.... Take accountability! You did not provide enough food! Yes, another tray of chicken came out...30 min. after complaining, yet we were told we would have to pay for it! No way! We were initially told we had enough food for 90 people...with plenty left over. What happened here?? What about all the rest of the food that we ordered that quickly ran out and was not replenished? Guests were on buffet line looking at empty trays! Jillian may have given you a nice review. She was enjoying her evening and not included in our discussion/disappointment due to guests not eating! Now she knows! Bottom line… you screwed up!
My wife left a review but I’ll add to it with some specifics. We catered an event for 65 people. We added food BEYOND what the venue said was needed for these 65 people. In fact, we were told there’s enough food for 90.
No more showed up than the 65. An hour into the event, food was gone. Complaints were lodged and the venue said our guests could order from their menu - and pay for those purchases.
A call to the catering manager today was dismissed as some calculation changes they made recently to portion control their offerings so as not to have leftover food. I guess they feel sending guests home hungry better serves their bottom line. I asked for no compensation, and no compensation was offered.
Probably a nice place for a beer and a burger, but DON’T use the location for a catered event.

Cool place to visit and enjoy a drink! The food was pretty good and the selection of drinks was great. I took a star off because the prices were a little high to me. But overall nice location!
Used to be the place to go. Now dead, full of weeds, trash, and mediocre barely cold beer
Thank you for getting wine and cider for those of us that can't drink beer!
Good place but bad service..
Interesting brewery. The beer is pretty good, and the food is ok. The building is old and rustic and it is located at the end of a winding road. A little bit of a strange location for a brewery, but is is peaceful and surrounded by old and delapitated buildings.
