Good restaurant in a lovely setting. Attentive service, variety of selections for different tastes. Prices are a little high but the portions are generous. The rock fish and the steak dishes were delicious.
Our family was celebrating my husband's 50th College reunion in Lexington and chose Haywood's to dine because it felt upscale. The ambiance was nice and food was good. As other reviewers have noted the problem is the service is lacking. Service was extremely slow even though we had a 5:45 reservation and the restaurant was not busy. Haywood's is always excellent. If you want to have a conversation with your table mates you need to book a table in advance and request either the atrium area or the tables in the entry. If you want to thoroughly enjoy the music book a table in the main room.
