Good food , but want to know when buffet will open back up? Other Chinese places in roanoke have open thier buffet back up!!
I didn't have high expectations from the outside. However; I walked in and even though things weren't picked up, looks like only 2 people working which that's fine, the food was really good. I've been to a lot of buffets and ayce and these little ones always surprise me. Flavors on the chicken are good and even though it looks scarce, the food is tasty. The New HK is a Chinese buffet and restaurant located in a Lexington strip mall. It offers a decent and varied selection of dishes at a crazy low price, with dinner for $13. The food is surprisingly good and can be amazing, especially items like the great Pork Lo Mein and most of the chicken dishes. The fried rice tastes authentic. However, the condition is basic and slightly worn out, with semi-clean floors and minimal table service. Guests serve themselves at the food counters. Recent reviews note a slump, with the buffet sometimes out of many items and dirty dishes lingering on tables. Yet, service is extremely friendly when available. It provides great value for the money and is a favorite spot for Chinese food in the area, offering both a buffet and menu ordering. The experience is best when the food is fresh and hot.
