A few friends and I stopped by while we were in the area. The owner, Theo, immediately greeted us and asked if we were interested in a tasting. The wines were delicious and we were impressed by the exceptional service. We got to learn about the wines from the winemaker himself which was very cool. The views were gorgeous, and the inside is also very welcoming. I will definitely be back when I can make the drive down to Virginia!

A lovely, smaller winery with beautiful views, an attractive tasting room, huge outside deck and other places to hang out and enjoy the mountain scenery. We had four wines for our tasting, two reds and two whites. Particularly enjoyed the reds, one won the gold medal Virginia Governor's Cup. The owner is very friendly and personable.

My wife and I really enjoy Capstone Vineyards. Capstone is not a high brow kind of place; It’s more family oriented than others. The first time we went the kids were running around downstairs playing. It reminded me of many a family gathering growing up. The owners are friendly and attentive and the sparkling Chardonnay is wonderful. Enjoy!

If you are looking for a reds, look elsewhere, at more than double the price of many other Shenandoah wineries for a mediocre reds and few amenities it's getting only a 2 rating because view is not bad and the host is trying to entertain.

New winery with definite promise. We were able to speak with the new owner/wine maker and he has a lot of vision for this winery which was a hobby for a couple from DC. Renovations will be taking place and I'm looking forward to seeing the improvements. Right now, parking is not marked and it's very confusing to know where you go for a tasting. There was a huge flight of stairs so I'm hoping renovations include handicap accessibility. The wines were all very good. We tasted two whites and 4 reds, all were dry and very good, the reds were young but good. If you want ambiance wait until the renovations, if you want good wine go now. It's worth a visit.
If you are a sparkling wine lover, this is a must visit! The wines were amazing, the owner/winemaker Theo was great too! We had a wonderful time. We wished we had shown up earlier to enjoy some time outside by the fire pits. I highly recommend this winery!
