We just got back to Texas from a great stay at the Mimslyn Inn! We absolutely loved it there and hated to leave.
It is a beautiful place with a great staff, and was super quiet at night (unlike many hotels we've stayed at.
Highly recommended!
Purchased Gift Cards from the Mimslyn Inn in December 2025 during a promotion. I purchased these for my own personal use in the Restaurant(s) as I live in the area. After my purchase I see that the restaurant/bar would be changing their hours and only be open a few limited days a week. Therefore, limiting when I could use my cards. Beth at the front desk on January 17th was amazing and kind when we had questions and requests for our cottage. The Byrd’s Nest cottage was roomy and romantic. Highly recommend this place!

Based on the reviews, the Mimslyn Inn is a beautiful and charming hotel with clean rooms and well-kept grounds. The staff, including the front desk and restaurants, are incredibly friendly, welcoming, and go above and beyond to help guests. The service is phenomenal. The hotel is conveniently located to explore the area with various restaurants and cafes within walking distance. Guests enjoyed the food in both restaurants, and the speakeasy restaurant had a wide selection of food and beer. The reception hall is elegant and absolutely beautiful. Rooms are clean and charming, and the hotel was super quiet at night. One guest had a queen bed room that was on the smaller side, while another enjoyed a King suite with two TVs and a fold out couch. The Mimslyn Inn is highly recommended for anyone looking for an elegant stay in Luray, Virginia.
