Best birra tacos in Lynchburg
I bartended a wedding that they catered and everything about this food truck is 5 stars! The people working were so kind and interactive and generous and then the food… I asked them to surprise me because I couldn’t decide, they gave me carnitas nachos and they were so incredible. Highly recommend!!

El Gordo’s Taquería is a favorite spot for authentic Mexican food full of flavor. The birria quesadilla is juicy and delicious, and the smashburger is absolutely incredible. The Quesabirria tacos are very filling and flavorful, and the soft served margaritas are refreshing with cute presentation. The birria ramen, steak quesadilla, and nachos are also amazing, with the nachos being the best in town. The burrito is good, but the prices are higher than many Mexican options, at $10-15 per item. The space is small with limited seating, and the parking lot is not very big. The Chipotle cilantro lime sauce is super spicy, and the churro is amayzing. Customers recommend asking for no cilantro if it tastes like a chemical. The food is made with care and quality ingredients, and online ordering is easy.
