A beautiful little restaurant out in the wilds of rural Virginia. Food is served family-style and all-you-can-eat; we had fried chicken (fantastic!), greens, green beans, macaroni and cheese, mashed potatoes, pot roast, coleslaw, biscuits, and corn bread. I first went to Tanglewood as a kid in the 80s-90s; it was a preferred location for my grandparents to celebrate special occasions with our family as it had the feel and taste of a LOVELY authentic southern family dinner. It always felt much like a normal Sunday supper at Mamaw and Papaw's house without the burden of them being responsible for providing the meal and cleanup thereof.

The staff was very helpful for our large party and our one gluten free individual. The fried chicken was amazing, as well as all the fixings! the family style food is the way to go. Always love coming to Tanglewood!
